“Well I will start out by saying everyone is super nice, the portion sizes are big and the food is delicious. I had issues though with my order. I specifically said no bacon and I got bacon. I don't eat pork, if I didn't notice it in my salad I could have eaten it. Thank goodness I'm not allergic. I also got cold fries and had to get them made again.

The fries are a little salty but still a good flavor and crunchy! The salad was super yummy once it was fixed. And I got the Autumn Fall Apple and Pear with the Apple Cider Vinegar instead of what it comes with which is the poppyseed.

All in all it was good and I will be back. The prices are great and everyone is friendly!“

“Went for a late dinner after the Heidelberg October fest with my fiancé and 5 year old for the first time since the expansion. I had high expectations because we have had take out multiple times and have been pleased. We were not disappointed! We had a hot dog, Cuban sandwich, torts with salsa (AMAZING as always), tater tots and the soup special. Everything was great but the pumpkin/corn harvest chowder was phenomenal, the complexity and layers of flavors was out of this world. I am not easily impressed so I was blown away by our meal. Our server/bartender was great and went out of his way to ensure we had a stellar experience. We will be back again soon!“

“What a find! Flavorful, decorative and clean atmosphere, and very economical. Was looking for a walkable place from PPG that's good for a group and it's literally right across the street. The menu is build-your-own so everyone can get what they want (think Chipotle for Mediterranean food - but much better quality and flavor!). It's very economical too, which is rare for this area. They even brought our group free lentil soup samples that were SO good! They have a kids menu as well. Will be coming again!“

“Burgers are alright, although the onion rings are really hit or miss; sometimes they're made fresh and when they are they slap, other times they're the pre-made frozen style and they're below average.

“Not in the mood to cook tonight and wanted to try this place since it moved here years ago. We came in early, but it never really got busy even though there were hockey games going on. We found the outside entrance(s) and were immediately sat at a table. Perusing the menu, we had some questions and our waitress was more than happy to spend the time with us to answer all of them. She did not know the answers to some of the beer ones, and she was honest about that, which we truly appreciated. She also noticed that we were struggling to decide on which burgers to order, so she informed us that since this was a Tuesday, their special of the night is to have any three of their regular house burgers made into sliders as a meal. What a meal deal! Two of us jumped on that and got to try different combinations that appealed to us. The other member of our party tried one of the Smash burgers from the faster menu. We also swapped out the fries for the grilled zucchini (for $2 upcharge)

Since we were having similar issues with some of the unknown beers, the waitress came to the rescue again and offered a couple of samples to help us decide. Wonderful service!!!

Ultimately we placed all of our orders and got our food. We enjoyed it all. I cannot say that we liked one burger more than any other for they were all tasty. The fries were good too. the zucchini was probably the best as it was lightly grilled and had a very tasty balsamic glaze on top of the tomatoes and other toppings.

About the only negative in the place is that it could use a refresher. It is clearly used hard - and looks it.

The complete tab for all of - including beers, food, and tip, was under $25 per person which is very reasonable these days.

“Revised 3/2025: I forgot about Applebee's (sorry) bc I don't drive past it anymore on my regular driving routes. Hmm.. GOT an idea... DL the app & ordered their food. WoW! With the deals & combos + 2/$25 we EACH had basically 2 meals in 1. PS Spinach & Artichoke dip is soo FAB! I did have a tiny glitch, sucks when you don't realize it, till your back home :( However, I called, spoke to "Miss Becky" I believe was her name, and got it ALL resolved. She's got GREAT people skills, you know, works well with the public. Pleasant. Courteous. Understanding. VERY pleased WITH entire experience. The AMOUNT of food and the ending TOTAL. App it in the WONDERFUL economy!

When I finally decided, the food was hot, fresh, seasoned. “Primanti Bros gets the attention, but every time I come to Pittsburgh for a game I go to Peppi's. Home of the Roethlis-burger (fantastic) Peppi's is a must visit. It's also close to Yinzer's so there's plenty of places to pick up some gear before or after you grab a sandwich. I love this place!“

“Went there for the first time on a Saturday for dinner. Nice place with lots of options. Our server who was doubling as cook was super nice and answered all our questions and special requests. I got the Cranberry Poppins salad. It was fresh, delicious and very large. The rest of my party had the fish sandwich, the chicken tenders and fries and the Alcove Burger. Everyone liked their food. We left just as the band was setting up. Would definitely go back again.“

“Wanted a late night meal, so headed here to pick up something and got there right before they closed. The staff was extremely nice even though they were closing up in the back. We ordered a large cheese pizza and it came out pretty quick ~15 minutes. The pizza itself was a little on the greasy side, but the dough and cheese were great and they cooked it slightly crispy as requested making it a decent meal (7.6/10). Definitely want to try other things at this restaurant as they have an extensive menu, but would recommend for a quick pizza.“

“This is the ONLY OTB we go to. Even though we live a little closer to Hastings and parking is a bear on the South Side, this location has the BEST menu. The burgers are excellent, they have amazing shrimp tacos and THE BEST FRIES WE HAVE EVER HAD. Seriously, it boggles my mind that the other locations don't have the same menu as this location.

We were told that the owner was planning to change the menu of this location to align with the other two and honestly, I think that's a huge mistake. This one is the OG and the best. PLEASE don't mess with success!“

After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! Our waitress was adorable, friendly, cheery, and after she described several of the upcoming week's specials, we decided to come back again in the next few days for lunch!! “I have never eaten in restaurant at this location, so I can't speak to that experience, but as far as take out it is usually a decent experience. Carside pickup usually goes smoothly, although the text link next works so you have to call to let them know you arrive. The employees are usually very friendly when they bring it out. Picking up inside the restaurant is a hassle, as the pickup location is in a weird spot and when you stand there all of the employees ignore you so it takes forever to get your food. As far as the food goes it's almost always enjoyable, although sometimes we find the steaks are inedible due to tendons, and they often change the number of chicken tenders they put on the mac and cheese with honey pepper tenders, sometimes there's more than others. They frequently neglect to give me the extra sauces that I pay for, which is annoying. Still the best Applebee's in the area though.“
