“Been here a few times now, the food is always so delicious and the service is great. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bathrooms are always very clean. It's a blend of Chinese and Japanese so we grabbed some Chef's choice sushi and sesame chicken. Have not had a bad experience here and will be back again. Definitely worth a stop.“

The sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Every roll we ordered was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced — you can really taste the quality of the fish. The specialty rolls are creative without being overcomplicated, and the classic rolls are executed perfectly. Even the appetizers and soups were excellent.

Portion sizes are generous for the price, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the quality stays consistent.

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. Thanks so much to Rae and his wonderful staff for one of the best meals I've ever had - the best sushi in this area for sure and such friendly excellent service to accompany it! 🙂 Thanks for such wonderful hospitality and all the extra goodies Rae. “Edit - Within less than an hour of posting my review, I received a prompt call from the restaurant to apologize explaining they saw my review and looked into what could’ve happened. They had found there was a crack in one of their lids and have fixed the issue. I am very happy with how quickly they looked into this and reached out. As such, I’m editing my review and can say this was likely just an accident and not indicative of the overall quality of the restaurant.Been coming here for years and the food is generally good. That said, we found a shard of hard glass or plastic in our food (spicy tuna roll) which my wife bit down on. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Giving two stars just based on the previous good experiences…“
