“I had no major problem with this Subway location located in a gas station. The registers and items are separated between them. The soda dispenser was limited in choice as many of the options were unavailable so I had to pick up a soda from the gas station fridge and paid for that at a different register than for my sandwich.My sub sandwich was fine and I was happy enough with it. Service was fine as well.”

“A couple of nights ago I was at the restaurant with two other people. Wonderful ambience , exceptional service. I am only giving this one negative comment so that someone would be aware that the kitchen staff needs to be educated to make the dishes match what the menu states. We had an appetizer and each of us ordered a different meal. The others meals were excellent and perfectly done. I ordered the stuffed sweet potato with a special topping and crispy shallots. The skin on the bottom of the baked sweet potato was burned. No big deal I could scrape the potato away from that. The shallots, however, were not even close to crispy. They were soggy, limp and bitter. I was disappointed but did not want to make a fuss In front of my friends. We had tasty cocktails and I repeat excellent service. I will be back and will recommend the Tavern to friends.”

“There’s really nothing negative to say about this place. They’re fast at getting the food out to you once you place the order. The food is fantastic! Some of my favorites consists of the chicken nugget snack, which they have some of the best nuggets. The pizza egg rolls once in a while, are good! The subs are great! They are always filled with fresh bread, meats, condiments, etc. The price is also worth what you pay for! Not too expensive for what you’re buying! Definitely worth it.”

“I stopped in at Lena's the other day with a friend and her service dog. Upon entering we were told that no service dogs are aloud due to people having allergies. We went back out to the car feeling frustrated and upset. I went back in and said " I don't believe you are allowed to refuse us service due to having a service dog". Her reply was she was a private business owner and she could refuse anyone she choose to. I would not recommend Lena's due to the disregard for service animal laws..”

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary this past Saturday. We had a dinner reservation at 5 and arrived early to explore the grounds. The front desk staff were exceptional, and everyone we encountered was equally friendly and helpful. I struggle to find the words to adequately describe the excellence of this establishment. The food and over all environment was outstanding. I highly recommend this venue and we will definitely return.”

I can honestly say that these are the best wings I've ever had, and I always recommend them to anyone who asks. “I normally choose to dine at the other Mexican restaurant in Hermitage, but went with family for lunch the other day to La Isla. It was pretty busy for lunch on a weekday, but we still had no wait.

I was surprised by how cheap their lunch options were- I had the Burrito Grande and it was $7.99 for everything you see in the picture! I had enough for a second meal, though I didn’t think I would at first, but that’s also probably because I filled up on chips and salsa. The salsa is more blended compared to other places I’ve been, and I don’t particularly enjoy chunky salsa so that’s a win.

I typically choose dishes at Mexican restaurants with shredded beef options, which La Isla does not have (at least on their lunch menu), although they have chopped beef, which is not as good in my opinion. For the burrito grande, I chose ground beef and it was pretty good.

While the food was good, I don’t think it was as high quality as the other restaurant’s, and the flavor profile was simpler and not as stand-out “Mexican”. It was a good meal, but not one that stood out and encourages me to come back.”

“Selection is decent, little off putting that everything was half cover with plastic wrap. Made me feel like a lot of it was not very fresh. Lighting is pretty bad, if there was signage for any of the products I sure couldn't find it. Donuts seemed a little under cooked and the cake donuts were just not good. Dry and lacked flavor. The filled ones were better. The woman who took care of us was very friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Loved the service but not the products unfortunately. M&m cookies were had a weird taste. Filled donuts would recommend for sure, the jam was sweet but tasty.”
