A most charming stroll down memory lane. Lots of neat look-sees here and old fashioned candies. They do lots of ice cream orders and the ambiance is worth a drive there. The owner is so friendly and even uses the old time rolling ladder to reach those high up treats. If my kids were little, I would definitely inquire about a birthday party there. I found BROADWAY LICORICE ROLLS and was transported back to 1976. Thanks to all the kind workers at Ballyhoo's.
My wife was recommended this spot by a coworker. What a treat! As a child I had fond memories of going to Shadowbrook in Tunkhannock for ice cream. Since moving to Old Forge we had been going to Blue Ribbon (also great) . I couldn't believe how many times I had passed this spot once I learned where it was.Great "penny candy" selection as well as very kind and helpful staff.
