“A real locals hotspot. It was a cold day so we ordered two Irish coffees warm up a touch. They were great and topped with whipped cream. Ashley was spot on with excellent service. Their wing options are extensive. We ordered the black and gold and the Lou Q. The both have just the right amount of medium heat. The black and gold with peppery honey mustard (Steel town classic) lightly dipped in the ranch hits flawlessly. The Lou Q has a Big Easy blend of BBQ and Fiery Borboun that is unforgettable. Ashley made me a real nice smoky old fashioned with Blade and Bow bourbon. Their chilli is hearty and earthy we ordered it fully loaded. Fully loaded has sour cream, cheese, onion, jalapeño slices. Fantastic. We really enjoyed this spot. Highly recommend. Even if you walk here from the Duquesne incline like we did.“

“Delicious. And surprisingly inexpensive. But you can see why. Very minimalist. No lettuce tomato or onion. No mayo. Heavily seasoned fries but not overpowering. And their Ranch dressing is significantly better than most places. If you're a Ranch connoisseur, you know what I mean. They're usually relatively busy. Lol, and you can see why. Very good food. Friendly staff as well.“

“Man, I really appreciate KD here at TNWS. I came in the day before I ate and was asking for something really spicy. Told him I wanted to cry. He said come back tomorrow for something special. Man did he deliver. He went and got some habaneros and I think some other peppers just for me.

Now I didn't quite cry, though I was sniffling a good bit. But he took me on a trip. He didn't just make something hot. No, no, no. Anyone can make something hot. The important part is whether it's good. He made me some wings with a deep, flavorful heat. You could taste the love and passion he made them with. Excellent stuff. And my pregnant wife liked them too. All that really hit with a good beer. Looking forward to the next stop at The Spot.“

“Best Pizza IMHO. Crust is thin (but not too thin) with just enough sauce and cheese on it that you have to use 2 hands. Pizza is delicious (I ordered pepperoni and mushroom). “I just want to share my awesome experience at Roots Natural Kitchen. I had researched places where I could get a salad/healthy food option while traveling and Roots Natural Kitchen came up on my search. I have a nut allergy and I reached out to inquire about food allergens and food allergy precautions and recieved a friendly and timely email. Needless to say I felt safe eating at Roots Natural Kitchen. When I arrived at the store, I placed my order. I saw that the bowl would be more food than I wanted to eat and asked for the smaller sized bowl, not realizing that it was a kids size bowl. I am obviously not a child, but I wanted a smaller serving size and the servers obliged me and gave me the smaller sized bowl. I just want to state that I appreciate the kindness of the employees for not berating me for not knowing that I couldn't technically have that size and continuing to serve me. The employees went above and beyond when serving me and in the future, I will know to ask for a bowl and just simply split it with someone. Employee service was excellent and the food itself was tasty, nutritious, and allergen friendly for me. I'm so grateful for your hospitality and to have found Roots Natural Kitchen as an option when I travel.“

The staff is always friendly. The one little lady who works there is always so bubbly. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend paying them a visit.“
