This place is one of my family's FAVORITE restaurants. The food is incredibly fresh, tastefully prepared and portions are plentiful. Dave is phenomenal and always friendly and chatty. Yes, prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for! I highly recommend Nakama - you won't be disappointed!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids LOVE watching the Chef use his hibachi grill in front of them! Hold onto your eyebrows! Ha ha
Drink service was excellent. Hot table food was average. No choice of noodles. The chef did a good job. They are down to one chef so they have to space the service out. This leads to an empty restaurant. Obviously ongoing because they repurposed the spare hot tables for storage areas. Sushi was poor. I had one roll with no real taste. I should have known. Chicken was not fully cooked. chef was very nice and entertaining. waitress couldn't have cared less about us. waitresses judge when younger people come in because they think we won't tip. but treating us like crap isn't a way to make us want to tip you more than the standard 20%
