Perkins lost its COOL is my review [today]

The service is EXCELLENT here.

Not only compared to other Perkins restaurants, but overall in my reviewing experience.

If this restaurant were more wait staff focused so they can do their jobs with less mechanical or managerial hurdles I think it could easily make my top 5 NEPA dining spots.

It seems the hand that feeds is the one being tied, too- but by the people that want to make the money great service could lead to..

The largest issue [today]

It was very hot in the dining area..well restroom too...well everywhere in this Perkins.

It IS very hot outside but the AC in this Perkins is also broken and has been since the last time it was unbearably hot in this restaurant- LAST YEAR.

I wish they would fix it.

The wait staff tried to make me comfortable and was very apologetic, but I remember the staff was great last time there was an issue...

There seems to be a disconnect between the people who are making me feel appreciated as a customer, and the people pulling the strings

For all the wait staff can control- they are pretty cool under pressure and with these hurdles.

The management seems to look to the wait staff for the next move

[ they aren't as quiet discussing things as they might think]

but the wait staff seems frustrated about this issue too and it's still happening.

I want to eat here again, but not until it cools down to something reasonable and the staff looks like they are in NEPA and not carrying my dessert through the desert.

McDonald's has AC but Perkins......???

Very good food and service at a fair price!

I ordered the meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes and asparagus which was absolutely delicious. I did pick up and they had my order done and ready in a great timely manner. I’ll definitely stop back to try other food from their menu.

Its a perkins

We go Perkins all the time it is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants.
This morning we went again had short hair lady as our waitress which she was very attentive and helpful.
The problem was I have asked for side pancakes which it was at the literally at the top of the page advertising as 1.79 and I pointed to waitress and she said okey but when bill came it was $8 something tbh it was delicious but she should have told me that the price would be $8 something and I wouldn’t order because breakfast cost 12 so it was kinda little disappointed ☹

It truly is one of my most favorite place places for breakfast,

My boyfriend and I stopped by Perkins in Wilkes-Barre for a simple dessert and coffee. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our server, Jannel B. (as listed on our receipt), brought us a coffee cup that was visibly dirty and even had lipstick residue on it.

This is a basic cleanliness issue that should never happen in a restaurant. We hope management can improve both service quality and attention to detail to ensure a better experience for future customers.

Our server was very attentive to my gluten free diet, the table ordered different types of fish and the food was very good and hot
The restrooms were very clean.

My family and I were here from out of town and the entire staff was very welcoming, the bathrooms were pleasant, for food was great & Megan (our server) was absolutely fantastic. This was the first time in a long time for me that I’ve had such great overall service…Job well doing all!!

I got my usual Sunday morning takeout shortly after 10am on 9/14. I could tell as soon as I looked at my meal that it was skillfully prepared by someone who cared. I had the Eggs Benedict from the senior menu, and it was done to perfection. I enjoyed every bite. Kudos to the chef on duty. I appreciate and acknowledge your effort. The staff is friendly and knows me by name, making me feel special. 5 stars to you all!
