“Not from the area, but Mom and I stopped in here for some quick drinks and snacks while passing by, on our way home from our latest adventure.Nice little spot. Seems like it's probably the horse in a one horse town. Seems like all the locals hang here, and it was pretty busy.Convenience store, hot food, cold beer, a gas station, and a car wash!They had my favorite Red Bull here, the juneberry one, which was awesome because it's hard to find since the end of summer because I think it was discontinued.I'm glad we stopped here too, because we discovered one tire was real low on air. The air pump we used in the back was soooo slow, but it ran forever, so it got the job done. On our way out we saw another newer air pump by the carwash that takes credit cards and everything. That one probably works better, I wish I noticed it at first.Anyways, the people at the counter were really nice. I'd stop here again if in the area, for sure!“

“My go to bar for the last 40 years, friendliest atmosphere in any bar in town.Reasonable prices.Recently read some unfavorable comments about it, but people who would knock a place like this deserve to be ignored anyway.Wouldn"t waste my time going anywhere else.“

“It has a dive bar vibe with a huge bar area surrounded by some tables. It gets pretty busy at night. We didn't eat, but the pizza and wings looked good.

It seems like a great spot for drinks with friends or if you enjoy pulling up a few seats at the bar and people-watching.“

Sunday food and drink specials are off the charts! $10/doz in house wings and the jerk chicken smoked on site were killer! “Getting hoagies from III Guys is CONSISTENTLY hit or miss. Now it's constantly a *miss* so we're done spending money here. I got a turkey hoagie today and there was barely anything on it! 😠 A regular sandwich is thicker! Two slices of turkey, a tiny bit of lettuce, some onions and a couple tomato slices! Oh and it was DRY! We paid for mostly BREAD! Feels awesome to be shafted for what you paid for. I had to put my own Mayo on it, add lettuce and add tomato to fill it! That's NOT the point of take out. Food quality is going DOWN last few years. ((See comments for pics of this sad hoagie)) We're done giving them the benefit of the doubt. The other hoagie we bought was also lacking & dry. “What is the difference between tavern and bar? They both serve alcohol, but a tavern is more sophisticated with an “emphasis on the food.”
Town Tavern is a simple by nature, with a long bar and a rear seating area with tables and hi-tops. They keep the menu fairly simple by pub grub standards, with pizza, sandwiches and their next-level wings. As the definition says, an emphasis on food, in this case “the wings.”
Life is short. Tomorrow is never promised, so Eat the Wings! Enjoy yourself. If you consider them a guilty pleasure, you don’t deserve them. I would say “live deliberately” and try the Cajun or Sweet Thai Chili - my favorite two sauces. The wings come in orders of 10, but based on the size and quality of the wing, 10 is plenty. Would love to see a “fleet” of wings similar to beer tasting. Hard to choose from the 34 sauce flavors and six dry rubs.
The cost of the wings are listed on the menu as “market price.” Just like eating a lobster! Regardless of the current price, they are worth every penny.
I have seen a few reviews saying it takes too long. Please, if you want fast food, go to a place that serves it. If you want high quality - crispy wing on the outside and juicy on the inside, tossed in one of their beautiful signature sauces, wait for that level of preparation. Highly recommend a visit to the Town Tavern. An order of ten of their wings and a cold on-tap beer is truly one of life’s simple pleasure. Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.“

“What a great spot! The atmosphere here is a mix of cool/hip but also warm/inviting. Lots of seating indoors, outdoors, and at the bar. The chicken francaise was soo tasty, juicy and cooked perfectly.

What really made our experience was our awesome bartender, Nick. Even when things were busy, he didn’t make us feel rushed but was still quick and efficient. When he checked on us and our drinks I felt like he really wanted us to have the best experience possible. After things calmed down, he gave us some recommendations for the area and was very engaging with all the bar patrons. By the end, I felt like I was a local regular even though it was my first time there. Thanks Nick for making our visit so memorable!“

“Monday is trivia night , with gift cards as prizes. Great specials on Wings or Steamed clams at $8/doz. Staff is outstanding , as well as the kitchen staff/chef. The outdoor patio, in season, is wonderful with large TVs and live music several nights each week.“
