Food was outstanding as always BUT the host started seating guests that arrived after us so our wait was longer than it should have been. The wait for our dinner was ridiculous as well and the place wasn't crowded!! The food was delicious so we're on the fence about going back. Our server Tracy was great and thanked us for being patient, but at that point, we had no choice!
We visit River Grille a few times per year. At our last stop it was spur of the moment and around 8pm on a Friday. We actually didn't know about their happy hour so it was a nice surprise. Our server was Corrine M, who was attentive and checked on us every now and again. The one thing we really miss are the steak cut sweet potato fries. I hope they come back again sometime bc the crinkle cut ones are just not the same. No other restaurant had the steak cut ones so they were...
Food was good overall. The salad presentation needs work. The service was courteous but there was a hint of boredom in the air, it wasn't upbeat is all. The atmosphere was that of a local dive bar or a 30 year old river boat casino minus the gaming but with all of the regular patrons in their assigned seats. Dimly lit. If you are looking for good food in a quiet place where everybody knows your name then this might be what you are looking for.
