The James - An American Kitchen & Bar

We enjoyed diner out last night on the patio, lovely atmospere and the food was delicious, however, service was severely understaffed! Not sure if they were inside where there were only a few dining or what but we must commend our server, Stephani... she was fabulous and did everything she could to keep up with all her tables. She was attentive, apologetic for the wait and extremely courtious. She deserves recognition for her efforts! This is a we'll go again soon, for sure but, maybe not on a Friday night! Thank you all...

Had the buffet style breakfast twice and both times literally everything except the toast I made myself was cold. Not even a whisper of heat. If you can’t offer something and do it right, don’t offer it at all. Wish I could get my money back but already paid for breakfast when I booked the room. If you’re looking for something hot at The James, stick to the coffee.

Never had an eggs benedict where one muffin had an egg and the other just had egg white and the one egg was prctically raw.

Stayed at Holiday Inn . Food and service here is amazing!

The Pear salad was second only to our server, Kayla! She was awesome- provided us with great recommendations for dinner and was a pleasure to meet. I'll be back on my next trip to town! 😁

Service was incredibly slow, we waited for over 30 minutes after we asked for the bill and a to go box. After a kitchen member brought me the bill we paid and left, on the way out the waitress stopped us and asked if we paid. Nothing special about the food, don't waste your time.

It was hit and miss with the food. First time was 5 stars, the next night was like the waitress didn't even listen to start i ordered. All in all, it's worth a shot.

Been staying in the hotel for 8 months. Ate at the james a handful of times thinking that it might redeem itself. Food is sub par. And if you want good service you have to go during the day when there is no one in there.
