Last Saturday, January 31st, I was invited to a cake decorating party/course at Pound Cake Heaven. Ms. Pam and Ms. Tony were such gracious hosts, introducing us to the shop, the history of this amazing Black woman-owned company, and recent projects like for the US Navy's 250th Anniversary cake! Melanie expertly taught our group of amateur and semi-professional cake bakers how to decorate a 2 layered cake. The butter cream smelled and tasted delicious and so did the cake overall!...

We loved our pound cakes from here! They were delicious. This was one of the businesses my school choose to support and the kids loved it. We can't wait to support as individuals in the future. The prompt response, flexibility of pickup and overall joy we experienced has made us customers for life. Thank you for everything!

Stopped by the stand at the Clark Park Farmers' Market (Yes they do have a tent there!) Purchased the following 3 items: Strawberry Shortcake, Banana Pudding, and the Peach Cobbler to-go. 2 of the 3 knocked it out of the park, while 1 could use some improvement for the vessel it was in.

The Strawberry shortcake was great, the strawberries were nice and ripe, fresh, and the ratio of fruit, to cake, to icing/cream was just right. Would recommend 8.5/10. Personally,...
