We arrived in York, PA kinda late and we were starving. We wanted a sit down restaurant with light meals. Aroogas was open, convenient, and had a decent menu. It was a little noisy when we were seated. But the late hour had the place almost empty while we ate. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and personable, and price was affordable. Would recommend to friends and family.
This place is a joke. Got our drinks quickly but 20 minutes later after the waitress still hadn’t come back to take our order we just asked another waitress for the bill so we could leave. There was one other table that was being handled by the other waitress that helped us… that was it. If you do decide to eat here, try not to look up at the fans covered in dust hanging off the sides or the nasty dirty walls where the booths are. We should have realized this place was not going to be great when we pulled in at 9 on a Friday night with only a couple cars in the parking lot. Other Aroogas locations are really good. This one not so much.

I don't understand how Chastity is a bartender here. I just don't understand. We came in for Christmas and the bar was relatively busy. We come in from time to time so we've seen it busier! No big deal, we thought. When we walked in Chastity was rude, condescending, and took forever to come back with our beers. Which, ok, it's Christmas and it's a bit busy ok. We can deal with that. We ask for a mai Tai to share and she tells us this isn't a tiki bar and it's too busy to make anything else but get beer. Ok? Rude AF. She rolls her eyes, slams down a glass, and walks away from us. Then, she proceeds to CUSS OUT a couple of guys screaming at the top of her lungs that this is her bar, they need to leave, and they should have gotten a table because she wasn't taking tables today. Again, the bar wasn't even full. There were plenty of seats, she was just in the middle of a meltdown and couldn't handle the stress. After screaming and kicking a few more diners out, she stormed off and left the bar for at least an hour. The manager was sweet enough to come out but the damage was done. He clearly didn't know what he was doing. The WHOLE BAR erupted in controversy with people wide eyed, wondering what was wrong, talking about how we'd never seen a bartender so rude, so mean, so undoubtedly unable to handle a bar like, it was ridiculous. At some point, she comes back, slamming things, saying she's just here for the tips (to her regulars, I think) and that she hates Christmas. It was ridiculous, unprofessional, sad and upsetting. I've never seen a bartender throw a tantrum like this and be SO RUDE to her customers. How does she survive here? I just can't understand. If I see her here, I'm not going to the bar. I'm calling corporate as soon as I can because this is ridiculous. I feel like I haven't even covered enough here because there was so much. Omg, how does this person work here?Good point- food was good. Thanks, kitchen! Also, one of the servers had to get us the check and some waters when the bartender was having her fit so we gave her 20 for the trouble of having to work with that bartender (who we'd never give a cent to). Just cause, Christmas. She was kind!! and running around too without any attitude or rudeness! It just shows who can handle stress and still be hospitable and who shouldn't be managing an entire bar. Whatever. Merry Christmas, y'all. Take your anxiety medication if you need it.

Visited dining room on 12/15 at 6:45. At a table not far from us were a few employees cussing very loudly. Many customers kept looking over with a disgusted look on their face. There were children at the table next to them as well. Food and service was OK but atmosphere ruined by employees. No wonder this place was dead and looks like it's going out of business. Won't eat here again any time soon

I ordered the crab pretzel and burger and my friend had a burger and we ordered 2 pizzas for my kids at home to go. Also we both had drinks as well he had 2 different draft ipas(not that great from his opinion) and I had Jack Daniels neat since they didn't serve any Hennessy or cognac of any sort. The food was good, not great the crab pretzel was lacking in crab dip and had more cheese than anything and the pizzas sucked, the burgers were decent but if you can't cook a burger close your doors. The staff and atmosphere were great out waitress was attentive and helpful and food and drinks arrived promt and correct as ordered to the table.

Let me start by saying I'm so glad we didn't let the terrible reviews determine our visit. Visited for a team lunch after our hockey game, which meant we came in as a large hungry group. The waitress was fantastic, organized, and managed to get EVERY meal rite. It took a while because there were A LOT of orders to fill, but they were delicious and everyone left happy. The lack of stars was more for the atmosphere it definitely gives bar vibes more than family-friendly. From the dank bar smell to the dim atmosphere, it initially made us wonder what we got ourselves into. Overall I definitely recommend having a visit .

Had Door Dash deliver soup and salad.Chicken Noodle Soup was 98% broth and 2% noodles. No chicken, no carrots. Ridiculous!!! I basically paid $7 to eat broth with a few crackers. The salad tasted like vinegar even though I asked for regular blue cheese dressing.The blue cheese crumbles were green. (i did enjoy the hard boiled eggs in the salad). Overall, extremely disappointed I spent $25, if they can't get soup and salad right... I would not eat anything else there.
