Avenue Ale House & Pizza Loft

Very disappointed. Had a bad experience over a year ago but decided to give it another chance.....still bad.
The Happy Hour specials are not good or even worth it. Limited appetizers. Waiter was not even knowledgeable about the prices for happy hour. There were no domestic beers on tap. Served in cans...no option for a cup/glass. As we are ordering....oh the pizza oven isn't working. Something maybe we could have been told as being seated.
My friend ordered the steak tips. It had so much garlic she couldn't even eat. Our waiter was hardly present...needed to wait before ordering another drink.
As I understand they don't want glass on the patio, I don't want to drink a martini out of plastic.
Last year under construction near the bathroom....and still is.
Want to be positive but very disappointed.

Have been going here for years, but tonight my friend and I had the worse experience. The young blonde guy bartender was apparently off work tonight and was just drinking at his place of employment for a fun night out. One of his friends said a blatantly racist remark to my friend multiple times and nothing was done by any of the staff. Even after the guy stated he did cocaine in the bar’s bathroom and therefore had an “excuse” for his racist words, none of the workers (including the blonde guy who pulled this friend of his away after the incident) did anything about it. No apology. The guy who said the racist remarks wasn’t even kicked out. Absolutely nothing was done. It’s a shame that an otherwise great establishment condones such disgusting behavior and apparently employs such disgusting workers. Do better - it’s 2026 and this type of behavior should not be tolerated by any business. Your employees still represent your business off the clock while inside of your establishment! This is a terrible look for business and the people you employ!

This is a great place to hang and grab drinks. It’s especially great during summer the outdoor seating is nice.

A good place for a bite and drinks. It was a bit loud the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. But service was good and good was good.

Not very hard to leave a horrible review for a horrible place, was ignored till I walked up to the bar and asked for menus. As other tables were being served.Then went to order and bartender said oh menu changed now to late night. So we left. Place had a very unwelcome vibe. Glad I left before beer was poured on me see other reviews!

Hill Burger ordered W/ mayonnaise-served burnt with no mayonnaise, crab & asparagus bisque served cold-waitress inattentive & unprofessional

BEWARE: If you try to switch your side for a side that is priced the same, they up charge $2. Also, if you try to swap a $4 side for a $5 salad, they charge you the full $5 alacarte price for this salad, and don't give you the side. Why are some restaurants so unfriendly to their customers. We eat out numerous times a week; guess we won't be back here for a while.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience at this place. The atmosphere was nice and the food was not bad, but the service was horrible and slow. The bartenders were rude and very hostile. One of the waiters spilled an entire beer on me which was an accident, but wasn’t even apologetic. Do not recommend going there.

Horrible place to go to. Waiter spilled beer on the table and still charged for it. Bartenders are rude beyond comprehension. Go elsewhere

Arrived in town for a short stay from Florida. The minute we arrived we were greeted by professional and young college kids at the hostess stand. We waited for 10 minutes while our table was assigned. Perfect table on the terrace facing the 18th hole. Sarah our hostess from Penn state was a joy to get to know. We all ordered from the huge menu selection and couldnt decide what to order. We saw The table next to us and the presentation looked amazing. We finally ordered steaks and salmon as our meal with delicious drinks. Perfect Saturday night at a great venue in York Pa. Keep up the great work Shaun Conway and your team. We will be back. Thank you for your hospitality!
