Went here for my 21st birthday for the first time the owner & his wife are very kind people! Went back again for my 24th birthday this past weekend & had another great experience the bartenders always know what drinks to recommend me!

I understand you have to keep your regulars happy but if youre not a regular it is useless to come here. Waited for another round at the bar for 10 minutes not even acknowledged. They do not seem to want new customers.

It’s advertised to be open till 2am. I called around 12 (just because bars close early around here and I happened to just get off work.) I asked if they were open until 2 or not and the lady on the phone gave me an immediate no and HUNG UP THE PHONE before I had a chance to ask anything else. I called back just to see what hours of operation was and the same lady answers and says rudely “nine to nine” and IMMEDIATELY hangs up on me again before I had a chance to ask ANY questions. I get some bars close down early but it’s clearly communicated to customers. On top of that if your closed at 9 why am I calling at 12 hearing music playing and people in the background? Knotty pines doesn’t do professional, no etiquette no manners no understanding of how people feel. Also they are falsely advertised to stay open until 2 (which most bars in York are honestly) and then have the nerve to answer the phone and give the worst service the world has ever seen. Food is good for a dive bar. Service is good, but when they get busy, it can take a minute to get a drink. Overall, great place. I also like that you can have a smoke while enjoying some drinks. Great place to have some drinks with friends and relax. Also, no cover on Fridays or Saturdays when they have a DJ!
Absolutely love this place. Not a big drinker or bar guy but they have great food and good pool tables. Staff is awesome

Knotty Pine has grungy biker bar vibes; straight out of a stereotypical movie. I say that as a compliment. They have a pool table, a large bar, and they’re open late.
