Stopped by Canton Cafe Saturday afternoon on the way back from errands and the place was as reliable as ever after all these years. Got the honey garlic spare ribs again, which have basically never once let me down, plus the fried rice was hot and fresh, not that dried out stuff you get from a lot of places. Stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning while visiting from Ontario and the place was already buzzing with locals, which felt like a good sign. I had the lobster roll even though it was only 10am, and honestly it was worth building the whole trip around. The server was friendly and gave us some good tips on what else to see around Charlottetown before we headed out. Small spot so there was a short wait for a table, but it moved fast and was totally worth it.
Stopped in for a quiet Sunday morning breakfast and the place had a really relaxed, sunlit vibe that made it easy to linger over coffee. I got the shrimp har gow and a plate of congee, and both were fresh and clearly made to order rather than sitting under a heat lamp.
