They saved the day by accommodating a large order of cupcakes at a very reasonable price, short notice.

Customer service is bad and rude, Baker is not well experienced. They say that they make custom cake, which is not true because they only work with buttercream and have no other options.

Poor communication was told two separate days that I’d be emailed back for a custom cake I wanted made urgently for in 2 weeks at the time. Very politely I asked, but never got any reply even after calling the store and speaking with the lady twice two different days. And showing up once in store for a scheduled meeting then the baker didn’t even care to show up when we had both left work to be there, absolutely rude! Now it’s the end of the week and no response I’ve given up on getting any cake from them. Wouldn’t come back or recommend this place to anyone who wants good customer service or even the bare minimum! Not good at all. Found somewhere else to go that wanted me!

We were first introduced to this bakery when my husband & I found out we were expecting our first baby. We wanted some cupcakes for a baby boy gender reveal, and we had our friend call in with the results. When I went to pick it up, super friendly staff but being honest, they piled on waaay too much icing, it was quite intense and off-putting. We each had to scrape off half the amount of icing, just to be able to balance out the overwhelming flavour with the bread base, not to mention there was also the revealing icing on the inside to get through. Then today on Father’s Day, I ordered a burger/ketchup/fries set that was actually a dessert for my hubby. Very cute idea, but again, they all went very overboard on the icing, particularly on the “burger.” When there was “ketchup” in there that was already pure icing. The “fries” were great as they were shortbread, but they weren’t the same as they showed online in a picture (straight, not wedged). As well as my husband’s treat, I also got myself a lemon tart last minute. The thick edge of the crust was great… but the custard portion was so intensely lemony, it was burning my throat! Crust wasn’t near thick enough to balance anything out. Had to throw it out, it’s really a shame. 2/5!

I live in Ontario and wanted to send my sister, who lives on PEI some vegan 🌱 desserts, which can be hard to find. Fat Cat Bakery offers a separate vegan menu and easily shared those items with me - they were amazing at responding to my inquiry and so so helpful when coordinating my order!! I will definitely be reordering! 10/10 experience!!!

Delicious treats and great selection including gluten free and vegan
I went in over a month ago to inquire about a special bday cake for myself to send my husband there for it. I showed three inspiration pics and they said of course they can do that! Well. I got my cake tonight with dollarstore flowers all over it. Absolutely not what I requested. The cake is wonderful tho after pulling out 10$ worth of dollarama flowers :/ I am very disappointed how utterly tacky. Sorry I hate to leave this review but if you say you can do something then do it. If not, be honest so the customer can get what they actually want. First three pics are the inspiration photos. The last is what I received.UPDATE NEXT DAY: cake is so dry and the fondant is actually so thick we can’t even eat it. We are throwing out over half a cake that wasn’t cheap! I can’t believe it honestly.

I had a three layer chocolate vegan birthday cake specially made for a family member. I have to say it was absolutely delicious! It was moist, tasteful, & beautifully decorated! You would have never known you were eating a vegan cake. I would certainly recommend this bakery for any occasion cakes or other delicious pastries they sell. Thank you Fat Cat Bakery for doing such an awesome job! Keep up the great work! I will definitely be back!!
