Went here with a few friends on a Sunday morning and honestly it was such a great call for something different. The miso soup was incredibly comforting and the ramen we ordered came out piping hot with this rich, perfectly seasoned broth that had us all going back for more. The staff were super welcoming and never made us feel rushed even though we lingered for a good hour and a half just chatting. If you're looking for a solid spot in Charlottetown that's a bit off the usual brunch rotation, Hojo's is absolutely worth it.

Had supper with the crew at Hojos japanese cuisine and honestly this spot hits different. Been hunting for good ramen for the past 7 months 🥺 tried a bunch of places around Moncton but it never tasted authentic. Hojo finally gave me that real Japanese ramen flavor I've been missing from back home even the noodles were on point. Lowkey almost got emotional not gonna lie.

Whole crew wiped their plates 👍🏻 and... the staff were super sweet too. They even hooked us up with a small candle for dessert so we could sing Happy Birthday to our foreman little things like that mean a lot.

Big thanks for the amazing food and hospitality. Definitely gonna be back 🍜

Service was fast! The food was delicious!
We had yam tempura, shrimp tempura and dumplings to start . Forgot to take some pictures, but did manage to remember some .
Really good!
I had the sushi with lobster. My family had ramen .
Noise level was loud but to be expected as the restaurant was pretty much full .
We will be back!!

Tried Chicken Spicy Miso Ramen for the first time and it was so delicious! 🍜🔥 The handmade noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked. My favourite part was the soup — very rich, thick and full of flavour which made the whole dish amazing.

Hojo’s is my go-to spot in Charlottetown for decent Japanese food with reasonable prices, but it didn’t get full stars from me mainly because of inconsistency.

I’ve been multiple times and usually order the tonkotsu ramen. Sometimes the pork slices are a good size, other times they’re quite thin. I’ve noticed the same issue with the rolls, like the rice ratio varies, and occasionally the rice is either too soft or just right. Seasoning can also be a bit inconsistent, though I understand that can vary slightly depending on who’s cooking.

That said, there are definitely things I enjoy here. The prices are fair, the menu is simple, and the yuzu ice cream is really good! and especially refreshing after a savoury meal. I can’t really comment on their raw items like sashimi, as I usually only eat raw seafood if I am by the coast of the source.

Service also depends on timing. When it’s not busy, the staff are friendly and attentive, but during peak hours it can feel understaffed, especially if you’re seated in a less visible area.

Overall, it is good for casual dining, but the inconsistency in both food and service is what keeps it at a 3-star experience for me. With more consistency, it could definitely be better. ☺️

We’ve been ordering Tonkotsu ramen for years and recently the quality has gone down. Soup is way too oily and pork is very thin.
