Slaymaker & Nichols Gastro House

Went here for dinner solo and wish I had gone with someone else to try more on the menu! The tuna crudo was sooo good (love me some tonnato) and the halibut was very unique and refreshing (Brazilian style). 10/10 would recommend & will be for future friends heading to PEI this summer!

Mussels were super, tuna was excellent, shrimp a little overcooked otherwise great restaurant.

We had Mussels and fishcake at the patio and everything was fresh and delicious. The cocktails were good and the servers were great personalities.
We got a good deal during happy hours!

Slaymaker & Nichols Gastro House was an absolute delight — and a completely unexpected find on a relaxed ramble around Charlottetown. The atmosphere is warm. The interior stylish. The service genuinely welcoming, and the food… outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared, the kind of meal that makes you pause mid‑bite just to appreciate it. The beer choices were excellent. A real gem we were lucky to stumble upon.It was the nearest we'd found to an English pub. Soon became a favourite of ours during our stay.

Brunch was so amazing! Loved getting greeted with an open door. The staff are so friendly. Really felt the famous Island hospitality!

Amazing experience. Delicious cocktails. The place has so much history and beautiful decorated. The staff were so caring and really tend to all of your needs. I was given a wonderful history lesson on the Fathers of Confederation and the origin of the property - used to be a circus, and the original owners. The staff are simply wonderful. One of them lived in the same neighbourhood as me in Toronto. One thing - I like the casual atmosphere in a nice place. I would recommend the hostess to also recognize the place as such. Other than that I had the most wonderful time and will be back next year :))

This spot is worth the hype! We went for happy hour on our wedding anniversary, and we loved it! The staff were attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. The decor really creates an ambiance and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! You can’t go wrong with any of the cocktails but the raspberry spritz was my absolute fave 😍

Getting ready to head back to NS after 4 months .. I have completed the Happy Hour Appetizer Menu at my favorite restaurant. Ok I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve had the lobster dip!

Third time and they have different food menu each time I come back. I love the Victorian interior. Our server yesterday was more attentive than the previous.

Run! Don't walk TO Slaymaker & Nchols to be richly rewarded with excellent cocktails and a highly focused but absolutely delicious menu. Service is excellent. Rarely do I gush but the table next to us booked a reservation for the next day. Everyone in the restaurant had that same WOW look on their faces when their cocktail or entrée arrived. The smiles on everyone's face after dinner said it all. Add to your must visit list! There is bar and outside seating also available.

This is such a gem eating place in Charlottetown! From the quirky name to the service, food and drinks this place is faultless! Our only regret is not finding This place on day one of our four night stay at the Rodd hotel. It’s only a three minute walk from the Rodd. Olivia served us and was amazing. Remember the old days when you really felt you got great service by servers topping your water up every couple of minutes and regularly checking in on how the food was, and just giving you the feeling like they’re really Cared for!?

We mentioned to Olivia our server that it was our wedding anniversary and within a minute she brought us some champagne on the house to celebrate, such a fine touch! Donnie made the finest cocktails and immediately understood what I would enjoy, given that I like a smoky non-sweet cocktail. The food was amazing. The ambiance and drinks were also on par. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the island.

Great service and delicious food. We enjoyed our lunch so much. I also recommend enjoying some cocktails while you are there because it's really worth it.

Great menu and top service!

Passing through Charlottetown a couple of weeks ago, I stumbled onto Slaymaker & Nichols on a recommendation from my hotel, and it ended up being one of the better meals I've had on this side of the country. The lobster bisque was genuinely outstanding, rich without being heavy, and tasted like someone actually cared about the recipe. Service was attentive but not hovering, which I always appreciate when I'm eating solo and just want to decompress after a long travel day. If you're in Charlottetown for any amount of time, this one is worth carving out a proper sit-down dinner for.

In for a burger and a beer. Delicious!
