I had the Fish and Chips, deliciously fresh melt in your mouth the chips were perfectly cooked.
Good portions for reasonnable prices, the food is good and we had a very good time with kind service. All the employees were very nice.
We went during happy hour (oysters for half the price)
We got seafood pasta (sooo good!! Our favourite), cajun salmon (our least favourite but still good, maybe not worth the price), fish tacos (big portion) with baked pei potatoes on the side, bubbly bake (kinda small portion but it was perfect because everything else was big and we were sharing. Very good tho)

The food is constantly delicious and the staff friendly and accommodating. I go every year when I'm on the Island. Would definitely recommend!

Darn good good and service was excellent. Fish and chips; fresh and perfectly cooked with a light batter. Lemon Pepper wings was excellent.

Stopped by for a quick meal on our travels and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good but staff were even better.

Average at best. No complaints about the service but the food needs help.
1: Bacon wrapped scallops, can you source something better than food service precooked bacon?
2: Bubbly bake, at the end you’re left with a bowl of creamy cheesy with no way to enjoy it. Consider serving with a long sliced baguette wedge broiled with garlic butter.
3: Fish and chips, check your oil temperature, the fish retained way too much oil which is a sign your oil is too cold. Also looking at other reviews, looks like I got the smallest piece of fish in the building.
4: Side of gravy, I paid $2 for a one oz plastic solo cup of beef jello. No words… you have to actually TRY to do that poorly.. forget that it was from a mix and not house made, this was awful.
There’s lots of potential, but there’s also a lot of laziness from the kitchen. A few tweaks would have made this a five star.

The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture. I ordered a pint of Blueberry Ale and the Local Potato Nachos with beef, which I found to be really filling and delicious. Unfortunately, there was no bartender when I went, but the staff did their best to make me a Martini, and it was not too shabby. Solid 7/10. The staff were incredibly nice; I should have asked for their names for a shout-out! I'll have to come back for the oyster happy hour 😋

Could be the best happy hour deal in PEI. Service was great. Waiter explained the oysters and some of the other local choices as well. Had recommendations. Prompt service. Flexibility with the menu for my daughter. A+

Our family was on the island for a graduation. We booked a table online about an hour and a half prior to arriving at the restaurant. The booking clearly indicated 7 people in our party.
When we arrived, we were seated in a booth.
When we questioned all the empty tables and why we weren't seated there, we were told they had a large group coming in.
For the duration of our stay, no other party arrived to fill the other tables.
The food was good. Some of us were more impressed than others; to be expected. Our server, on the other hand, was phenomenal! She was funny and engaging and went out of her way serving us. She's a keeper.

We were a larger group. They were unorganized. 2 of our group waited 5 mins after everyone else got their food. Server never came to see how food was. Asked for water, some people got it some people didn't.
Someone ordered small fries. It was all the ends of the bag. And the bowl was half full. The fries that came with the kids' meals were 2 times the amount.

I've gotten take out from The Local many times & the food was good. I decided to have supper there tonight with a friend, since I liked their food. I was very disappointed with the service. She came over for our order fairly quickly, but after that, we barely saw her. We had to ask another server if we could get ketchup & a refill on our drinks. After we finished our food, we were planning on getting dessert (which we told her we needed a couple of minutes to decide) but it took her at least 20 minutes to come back to ask our order. By that time we just wanted to leave. (We ended up going to DQ for dessert instead). When she finally sent some other server over with our bills, we didn't give her a tip because we were not impressed with the service. We won't be back to The Local again. We would rather give our money to a restaurant that doesn't ignore us. Hopefully they will improve their customer service.
