The Local Pub and Oyster Bar

Went for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy so very easy to get a table.

Staff were friendly but not very quick at times.

I had the breakfast skillet with sausage. The food was ok but the sausage was as small as bacon bits and you couldn't even really taste it.

Other than that it was ok but I wouldn't rush to go back and it wouldn't make my list of favorite places to eat.

The atmosphere is great, service was wonderful. But the two times I've ate at this restaurant I was disappointed. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The burger was beyond burnt & dry, thank goodness for the toppings We've had better burgers from our local food trucks.I wouldn't recommend this place or be back.

I’ve given this place a few chances and each time I’ve been disappointed. On my most recent visit, both my mother and I found three separate hairs in our food. When we brought it to the managers attention, their response was simply “oh, that happens sometimes”, without even a hint of an apology. They did comp us for the fish and chips and we paid for our drinks. It’s clear they don’t really care about the quality of their food or their customers satisfaction. Safe to say, I won’t be returning.

Great server! But, food almost inedible. Food was just reheated in microwave. Lobster roll was watery lobster served in a no-name hamburger bun with 2 wilted lettuce leaves. Fish cakes were 2 blops of cold, stale mashed potatoes with a trace of fish smothered in mustard pickle. Vegetables were tough old roasted specimens reheated in microwave. The only good part was the beer.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in P.E.I. I’ve been there in two different visits and the experience has been equally great. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially when they have live music but it’s also a great place to what export events or just hang out with family or friends.
This time I had the scallops and shrimp dinner of the day + a Caesar salad. I ordered also the spiced carrot soup and it was all delicious. I am sharing a fish I had last time too.
The service is quick and kind. I’d totally recommend this place is you are in Charlottetown.

Took and hour and a half for the food to come, waitress told us after an hour and her saying not much longer, that they were catering for an event and that the catering job took priority. Food was bland and not great. That did however massively discount our meal. It was a birthday party so we were kinda committed to the place. Wouldn't go back.

So on Sept.24 , my friends and I got together at our favourite place, and we had a wonderful server named Janet . One friend and myself ordered our go - to dish , the seafood bake . I have had it several times and always loved it . However the recipe has been changed and it was awful , we got a watered down version with 3 shrimp , 3 scallops , thinly sliced potatoes and what I think was little pieces of white fish , some flavourless cheddar cheese on top with some bread crumbs , all for the sum of $26 plus tax ! After talking to our server , I tried to reach out to management privately , they said they would get back to me and they never did . I am very disappointed and I told my friends I won't go back .
