“I highly recommend it! The terrace is wonderful and the service is incredible. We ordered black pork feathers with homemade fries and cod crumbs with prawns and everything was divine. The desserts are a dream too. The only problem is choosing!! :) perfect.
The girl who served us was also a plus for her friendliness! Thanks.“

“A very popular restaurant, subject to reservations, with very tasty Alentejo food, made with quality products such as meat, cheese, olives, olive oil, wine and even bread for the migas that accompany almost everything. Good atmosphere, interesting decor. On the back wall there is an oven and in front is the restaurant room, which in the past, when the oven was used, was called a porch. I think this is the origin of the name. Decorated with objects formerly used in agriculture and for use in the oven. Very interesting“

“Today I had a wonderful experience. I got to know the restaurant Moagem, the owners, Mr. João Maria who was responsible for serving the tables and who served my dears and Mrs. Natália responsible for the kitchen. And what MA-RA-VI-LHO-SA food, I felt like home, my grandmother's house, my mother's house, the food and the service moved me.A couple with 10-star friendliness.I will definitely be back and I will definitely recommend it.“

“The food is prepared in a very traditional way, which is fantastic, because it brings back pleasant memories. Generous doses.
As a negative point, I point out the price of the starter we consumed and the "Afternoon" imperials.“

“Homemade food, very delicious and abundant. Maybe we were guilty of gluttony and there was food left over.

We ordered the cod with spinach and a combination plate of pork fillet with delicious fries, egg, rice and salad.

The attention of 10, very friendly.“

Restaurante Divinus - Alentejo, Évora Portuguese
Historic Hotel Spa, Convento do Espinheiro

“It’s really good especially considering it’s a hotel restaurant. You can’t beat the exterior and ambiance. Beautiful arches! The service is fantastic, so fantastic. The food is on the higher end price wise but also quality wise. Everything we had was delicious. The porco preto basically melted in my mouth. I don’t like meringue but their dessert was beautiful, interactive, and not too sweet. It was honestly a great meal even though we were exhausted that night. We had the red wine that’s made there, and it was very good. They also gave us glasses of champagne that’s made there (well sparkling wine) which is our favorite way to start a meal! Even better we were able to bring what we couldn’t finish to our room.“

A Petisqueira Cafe • $$
R. Formosa 47

“It is advisable to make a reservation We tried to go to this restaurant without reservation and couldn't get a table that night. The next day we made an appointment and went there for dinner. We ordered bread and olives for starter, (the olives were great) and for the main course, Grilled lamb ribs from Alentejo and Portuguese veal steak. The Lamb Ribs were absolutely PERFECT. For Dessert we ordered Pão Rala. We enjoyed it so much that we went back there a second time for dinner again. This time we only ate appetizers/starters and desserts. Scrambled Eggs à Petisqueira are great! For dessert we ordered a Pajama Doces Alentejanos (a way to try 4 typical sweets) in this case we tried Teculameco (Dessert based on eggs, almonds and icing sugar), Pão Rala (Dessert with gila, almond and egg strands), Enxarcada de Ovos (Eggs, cinnamon and sugar) and Delicia de Castanha ( a Chestnut Delight). All lactose free, to my own delight! All Covid rules are observed and strictly adhered to.“

Café Restaurante Solar de S. Martinho Mediterranean • $$
R. 4 de Outubro 63

“We happened across Boca do Mar while exploring São Martinho do Porto and it was a good experience overall. The restaurant was quite barren due to bad weather, but the service and food did not lack. We shared two dishes for lunch: the first was a tamboril (monkfish) and shrimp skewer, and the second an octopus salad. The skewer was packed with seafood, peppers & onions, and served with a generous side of potatoes, carrots, beans, broccoli and cauliflower. The octopus salad was both flavorful and plentiful and, although an appetizer, more than enough for a full meal! The service was attentive and kind. We would return again the next time we are in the area.“
