“Most delicious chicken skewers i’ve had in my life, never thought i will ever write a review about chicken skewers, but they were really nicely seasoned and prepared on a wooden fire. My husband had a tasty beef egg steak and fries, which were also delicious and on top we got to enjoy them with a great view to Funchal&the ocean while breathing the fresh mountain air. Restaurant is very nicely decorated in a rustic mountainy style and the owner who also served us was very, very hospitable…Big thank you for making our day, this place should become a sort of prerequisite pit stop for everybody going or coming back from Eira do Serrado who needs a recharge of batteries.“

“We came across this restaurant by chance, kindly recommended by the host of our apartment in Sao Vinci. We had the rice with octopus, the grilled octopus, and the octopus with beans. It was all really delicious, the best place in all of Madeira. The staff were very kind and helpful. The portions were really very generous, so much so that we asked if we could take home what was left over. In Italy we are not used to such large portions at such a low price. “It is a small, clean and well-kept restaurant with a private parking lot, which can be reached directly across the street, through a somewhat narrow alley. This one-way street is otherwise very busy with parking, so this is a good facility. The service and the food were very good in our opinion. We will go there again. We had sauteed squid (around €16) and Bife de Atum (around €15) including side dishes. Since fresh fish is offered, not everything is always available. Very inexpensive and deliciously prepared for this quality. The chef is unique and strives to ensure guest satisfaction. The only thing that prevented card payment was the lack of an internet connection, so maybe you should work on that!

Parking: The restaurant is on the right side of a one-way street - on the left, opposite, is the restaurant's private parking lot. This can be reached through a narrow alley - watch out for the exterior mirrors! :-)“
