“I have been in Portugal for 20 days in various places but this is the best restaurant I have frequented.
Simple in its appearance but delicious in the preparation of the menu which was abundant and superlative.
Good wine and appetizers offered at the entrance are truly excellent and not just for presentation.
The bill was very honest and the staff very friendly even though I don't know the Portuguese language at all. Thank you with all my heart!“

The fish comes in big portions, is very fresh and well seasoned and expertly cooked. The pork ribs were delicious and very well seasoned. The kids hot dog came (unexpectedly) with crushed up bits of potato chips (crisps) on top and tasty fries (chips) on the side—all for 5 euros. Put simply, the owner/grill master knows his way around a BBQ.

Depending on your tastes, however, he is a truly abysmal DJ. “We had a Sunday carvery lunch at Oscar’s and it was excellent. The food is really fresh and all home cooked. There were three choices of meat and lots of vegetables to choose from, plus gravy and lots of sauces. The desserts are excellent too, we had rhubarb crumble and custard. “We walked past this restaurant for a week. It was always busy, so we stopped here early one evening for dinner. They have live fish, crabs and lobster in tanks in the restaurant.

We had a bottle of still water, with freshly squeezed orange juice, apple juice and a small bottle of red wine. For food we had a chicken kebab with square potatoes, spaghetti bolognese and fried halibut with vegetables and potatoes.

Before our main meal arrived they brought us some bread rolls with butter, fish paste and a mixture of tuna, mayonnaise and spring onion. This was delicious, I'm going to make this when I get home.

Service was impeccable and professional. The staff are very talkative and have friendly genuine banter. The drinks and food came quickly. Everything tasted fresh and the right amount of spice used.

I noticed they had apple pie in the cabinet on my way back from the toilet, which was clean.
I had warm apple pie with ice cream, this was delicious ?. Apple pie tastes better warm and my husband's son had chocolate mousse.
