“A gastronomic place different from the usual ones, where sophistication does not prevail, but rather gastronomic simplicity of good cuisine with traditional dishes, served with professionalism. To all this, there is the hiking to get there! On the way there you gain an appetite and on the way back you burn calories. As for the rest, the landscapes and nature paint the picture of a different family lunch than usual!I recommend !“
“(Translated by Google) Very good house, with a wide variety of high quality wines, where we can spend good moments of fraternization.I recommend.(Original)Muito boa casa, com uma grande variedade de vinhos com muita qualidade, onde podemos passar bons momentos de confraternização.Recomendo.“
“Very unique, local experience. We ordered upstairs and watched while our beef was cut and put on the skewer, grabbed some bread and wine and walked around to the dining area downstairs. You cook the meat yourself, eat with your fingers, and drink wine from a paper cup. It is not fancy, but I am not complaining! The food was great, and it was a great experience.“

“Nice place to be with friends to celebrate.
Parking: Free roadside parking.
Kid-friendliness: It is suitable for children because they can play under their parents' supervision.
Wheelchair accessibility: Location accessible to people with reduced mobility.“
“Quiet with music, not very hygienic as expected from a tavern but also taverns weren't made to satisfy people looking for that. Good place to hang out with friends, excellent service and its basement has many activities for those who want to have a little more fun without drinking“
“A small typical cafe/snack/bar with a sleek interior. This is where the local residents meet for a bica or, if you can handle it, a small poncha to start the day. Here and there a chat during the day. Sometimes a visitor gets lost here who has just got off the nearby bus stop.A good place to start from here to watch the basket weavers at work or take one of several levada walks.“

“Four of us ate here. The selection of meat dishes is extensive. However, the vegetarian selection is very clear and unimaginative. There is room for improvement. The meat dishes were very good. Side dishes had to be ordered separately, which we classified as too expensive. The vegetarian dish we ordered (vegetable canoe) looked good. However, the vegetables were “very well done”. The mixed dessert plate we ordered was great - you should share it. The wine list offers a very large selection. Ambience is quaint.
Vegetarian options: Hardly any good vegetarian dishes“
“We stopped here on our day walking around Sintra for lunch. It's a little way out of the town and a very unpretentious place that focuses on serving good value food. We had omelettes and they were lovely, a good size portion and well presented. It was a nice atmosphere in the bar and service was friendly and efficient. Definitely not a tourist trap and very good value.“

“Adega do Pomar has become our go-to restaurant, especially on Sundays when we enjoy their exceptional poncha, which we believe is the best in Madeira. It's also our choice for celebrating family events. We've recommended it to many of our clients, and they agree that it's the best place to experience local traditional cuisine.
We've tried a variety of dishes and have always been thoroughly satisfied. We particularly recommend the goat meat, suckling pig, rabbit, and espetada, along with the soups—our favorite being the chicken soup. We are also fond of their cider, Moscadinha, made using traditional artisanal methods from apples grown in Camacha.
We truly appreciate the work of the team at Adega do Pomar. Every visit is an incredible experience. If you're ever in Camacha, a visit to Adega do Pomar is a must!
Photo with Joao. He’s the best poncha-maker and bartender in Madeira. A super nice and friendly person who creates a lovely and welcoming atmosphere“

“If you’re looking for a local place to eat authentic local food, then this is it! Not a fancy restaurant with a large menu. 5-6 typical dishes from Madeira, great homemade sweets, fresh bread and wine, poncha or beer. You don’t need anything else! Highly recommended.“

“I had read good and bad recommendations about this place, but I preferred to judge it for myself and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite quiet when we arrived, the decoration was simple and pretty until I saw a piece of furniture with many sets of coffee cups that surprised me. The service was calm and serious, the truth is that the waitress cannot be said to be the life of the party but who knows how many years she has been putting up with people, I have to say that she was kind and correct. The food was very good, the menu is not very extensive but they have some typical dishes and the price is very good.
I have to say that the bolo do caco is the best I have ever tried and I have a few.“

“Wonderful restaurant with local food. The restaurant is ran by a family. We met owners who started this small business in 1994, 30 years ago. Food was awesome and smile on the owners' face was authentic when we entered the place. Outstandind service done by true people of Madeira. Thanks a lot!“
