“The absolute best estepada! You can see how they prepare it and the meat is beautiful even raw! The portion for €15 is larger than elsewhere (with bolo do caco was enough for two) Fast and professional service. Pleasant environment. Parking on the street in front of the restaurant.“

“Good traditional place to eat. We tried the regional espetada with cooked potato and the bolo du caco, to share. Everything is very good.
The espetada comes with 6 good-sized pieces. And the serving of potatoes seen in the photo is the medium size. Strong quality/price portions.
Additionally, the restaurant has beautiful views.
Parking: There is space for 6-7 cars. We went during the week and parked without a problem.“

“Excellent fish, meat and side dishes, a cheerful atmosphere created not only by the staff but also by local guests. The friendly staff have fun with you, speak English and show you the selection of fish. I strongly recommend the restaurant!“
“We walked 4 kms, through the tunnel and along raging waves, to find Câmara de Lobos. For years we have called it “the fishing village”. Now that we discovered Minerva, I guess we will now call the town Câmara de Lobos. To us, it puts this sleepy little village on the map. We stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful feast, while overlooking the vibrant small harbour. We had ordered a Croque Madame (unbelievable), Beterraba, Requeijão, Avelã, Mel & Mostarda (beetroot plate), a large draft along with a smaller one. The food was amazing. The beer refreshing on a warm afternoon. Service was friendly and accommodating. Simply put, we loved it. You don’t have to walk 4 kms to get here, there are other ways to accomplish this voyage. We will return.“

“One thing Madeira is famous for is its legendary Poncha. The best Poncha will always be found away from the center of Funchal and in the little fishing villages where it originated.
The bar is also known as the "original Poncha bar." I have no clue if that is true or just great self-promotion. But the Poncha here is spot on! They even have one that is unique to their bar and is a "secret" recipe, and it is very good.
The inside is literally a shire to Ronaldo. If you are a fan, that would make it worth the trip.
Oh, if you're new to Poncha, be careful. It has a sneaky punch behind it.“

“I did not expect this! The service here is excellent, you take care of everything yourself. The food was delicious ?, my friend loved her dish. The staff is very patient, sweet and kind. The indoor and outdoor areas are a bit limited, but still cozy
Parking: Be careful too many tight parking spaces“

“Visited this restaurant at lunchtime, a place at the end of the promenade with a great view of the sea.
The service tried hard, but was a little overwhelmed; our drinks only came after a slightly longer wait
We ordered small mackerels, which were very tasty. Then we had grilled squid, which was also super tasty and well prepared.
The prices were okay and we moved on satisfied and full.“

“I continue to come to this restaurant whenever I go to Madeira, and I continue to be treated with kindness and to eat good skewers or chopped meats for a very reasonable price. On Thursdays there's tuna with hot corn, and although I'm not a fan, I'm assured it's good. And yes, the view over the western part of Funchal is great.I keep coming here each time I go to Madeira island, and keeping being welcomed with sympathy and having great 'espetadas' and 'picadinhos' for a very reasonable price. On thursdays there is tuna with hot boiled corn, and although I'm not quite fond of it, I was assured it is quite good. And yes, the view over the western area of Funchal is awesome.“
“Great nikita drink and excellent food and service!
Parking: Give couple of cents to this guys there so they can have a beer or food and they will help you to park and look after your car.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room available“
“(Translated by Google) We ordered 3 sword sandwiches. There were only two and the third, we were told, was still going to be picked up. At least that's what I realized. The fish was so good it looked like it had been caught at that moment. The best service we had in Madeira was here. I would name the lady who served us knight of her majesty with the sandwich she brought us.(Original)Pedimos 3 sandes de espada. Só havia duas e a terceira, avisaram-nos, ainda a iam buscar. Pelo menos foi o que percebi. O peixe estava tão bom que parecia ter sido pescado naquele momento.O melhor serviço que tivemos na Madeira foi aqui. Nomearia a senhora que nos serviu cavaleira de sua majestade com a sandes que nos trouxe.“

“Recomendo a viola vivamente, sou Madeirense e vivo a alguns anos no estrangeiro. Quando vou à Madeira sempre um visito o viola. É um locar muito frequentado e por vezes temos de esperar por uma mesa mas vale a pena.
A comida é saborosa.
