Try this place out - really worth it. Nice atmosphere and beautiful food + drinks. We had the scabbard sandwich, avocado shrimp salad, and ceviche. Drinks were fab too!
We walked 4 kms, through the tunnel and along raging waves, to find Câmara de Lobos. For years we have called it “the fishing village”. Now that we discovered Minerva, I guess we will now call the town Câmara de Lobos. To us, it puts this sleepy little village on the map. We stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful feast, while overlooking the vibrant small harbour. Drop in at lunchtime tired and weary after a mornings long walk around Funchal. Firstly order 2 pints, thirst quenching and delicious. We decided to share a starter of Beetroot, Cottage Cheese, Hazelnut, Honey & Mustard. This dish was devine, thoroughly sublime. We booked a 7pm Dinner reservation.
