“One thing Madeira is famous for is its legendary Poncha. The best Poncha will always be found away from the center of Funchal and in the little fishing villages where it originated.
The bar is also known as the "original Poncha bar." I have no clue if that is true or just great self-promotion. But the Poncha here is spot on! They even have one that is unique to their bar and is a "secret" recipe, and it is very good.
The inside is literally a shire to Ronaldo. If you are a fan, that would make it worth the trip.
Oh, if you're new to Poncha, be careful. It has a sneaky punch behind it.“

“(Translated by Google) We ordered 3 sword sandwiches. There were only two and the third, we were told, was still going to be picked up. At least that's what I realized. The fish was so good it looked like it had been caught at that moment. The best service we had in Madeira was here. I would name the lady who served us knight of her majesty with the sandwich she brought us.(Original)Pedimos 3 sandes de espada. Só havia duas e a terceira, avisaram-nos, ainda a iam buscar. Pelo menos foi o que percebi. O peixe estava tão bom que parecia ter sido pescado naquele momento.O melhor serviço que tivemos na Madeira foi aqui. Nomearia a senhora que nos serviu cavaleira de sua majestade com a sandes que nos trouxe.“

“It is a place located in the heart of the town of Camara de Lobos, it has outdoor tables on the terrace, where you will have a view of the town's bay and you can eat or drink something, while you contemplate the fishermen's boats.
Good place to eat some limpets and a couple of ponchas.
Parking: Parking nearby, paid, both private and street.“

“We recently visited the island of Madeira and had a very festive time at this Bar. What an experience. The food and the service is superb. The Bolo de caco with steak is the best in the town. Don't forget their speciality Poncha which they make right in front of you. For an unforgettable experience, don't miss this little gem.“

“Great flavours, very fresh, very generous portions, friendly servers, and don't have to wait for hours to get served. Just wish they'd block that street to car traffic.
Kid-friendliness: Nice selection of kid-approved meal options.“

“This is a very cozy, authentic place to have very tasty poncha (Maracuja + tangerine is the specialty) and is definitely worth the way up.Very special compared to other places is the amount of poncha Nelson has prepared for the evening (fresh of course) and you can even buy bottles to take with you!We enjoyed this place a lot.“
