We will definitely come back, and it is an awesome place to bring your Madeira visitors.The owner was really great about making a wine recommendation, and the charcuterie board was perfeito! I had to be talked into having the brownie; do not be me, order it. It was an amazing end to a great evening.”

“Poncha one of the best we tried in Madeira! All flavors are delicious, except English tomato (I do not recommend this one). It's a small place on the corner, crowded, so it's hard to get a table in the evening, but you can take a drink in a paper cup to go. Affordable prices, great taste!”

“Excellent food, friendly service (4 stars as they were short handed, so a bit slow) fun atmosphere- close to where we were staying, but off the beaten path….so had to look for it, which was fun. Appeared to be popular with both locals & tourists. mojitos were soo good. We both had the pulled pork - will try the chicken next time! Highly recommend”

“It is a place to drink craft beers, which has little more than three dishes (quesadillas, tacos and burritos) if you want to have dinner, but they are amazing and are more than enough (without accompaniments that in the end you always end up leaving, such as potatoes or salad).

Very quiet atmosphere at 8pm, although I suppose it goes on for days. It is a sports bar type place, so it is not for families with children, we did go with two teenagers.

I will repeat for sure before I leave.

“Wir waren in der Woche 2 mal dort. Es war unglaublich lecker. Es gibt viele vegetarische/vegane Gerichte aber auch Gerichte mit Fleisch. Wir hatten vorweg papadams, die mit mehreren Dips und etwas Gemüse kommen und richtig leckere Kartoffeltaler. Die sind wirklich zu empfehlen.”

None of the desserts can be made vegan however they kindly whipped us up a chocolate mousse with red fruits, it was delicious. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. “Delayed review based on visit in August 2025: I felt very lucky that the hotel we were staying in in Funchal just happened to be a short walk to Mundo Vegan, the only all vegan place on the island of Madeira. We came here three times during our visit, for lunch, takeaway coffee, and brunch. I enjoyed my risotto (never had black olives in it before!) but it felt strange to be eating such hot food (like still steaming even by the end of it) when I was so hot myself. The takeaway coffee was good but be warned in Madeira they tend to charge extra for a takeaway cup. Brunch was a feast as we ordered the breakfast of champions - definitely not cheap at €23 but our table could barely hold all the food and drink! Highlights for me were the fried mushrooms and the smoothie. The decor here is also really lovely and the terrace is very colourful with flowers. Downsides would be that it was expensive, and I was melting without any air conditioning (or fans that I could see). Definitely recommend!”
