“It’s really good especially considering it’s a hotel restaurant. You can’t beat the exterior and ambiance. Beautiful arches! The service is fantastic, so fantastic. The food is on the higher end price wise but also quality wise. Everything we had was delicious. The porco preto basically melted in my mouth. I don’t like meringue but their dessert was beautiful, interactive, and not too sweet. It was honestly a great meal even though we were exhausted that night. We had the red wine that’s made there, and it was very good. They also gave us glasses of champagne that’s made there (well sparkling wine) which is our favorite way to start a meal! Even better we were able to bring what we couldn’t finish to our room.”

“Tasty dinner, the concept of the place is sharing, we took mushrooms sautéed with onion and garlic, veal with pepper, cod (they were also spiced bruschetta with garlic, onion and vinegar), roasted prawns and to finish instead of dessert we chose figs with ham and basil.

“Fantastic! With no choice (and thank goodness), we were served authentic wonders, from dates with bacon to beef tongue sandwiches and even the best pudding, which was made from mountain cheese!!!! This cozy space has a different concept, as the menu changes daily according to fresh local products! A true gem in Évora! I will come back as often as possible!

My initial 1star review was based off of the only experience I had with Crema di Latte which was frustrating.

But due to the team reaching to, empathizing with my frustration and apologizing for the situation, I’m updating my review to reflect my overall experience.

It can’t be 5 stars because my experience wasn’t perfect. But I’ll leave 4 because I know reviews are important for small businesses and they have a great reputation.

“Wonderful experience at Botequim da Mouraria. We arrived 15 minutes before opening and secured a cozy spot. We tried a few dishes, each delicately flavored and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and satisfying. It was a lovely way to end our trip to Evora.”

“Taste of India in Evora is a life saver for vegetarians in a part of the town with extremely limited vegetarian options. It is about a five minute walk from the town center. The restaurant is cozy, clean, and serves authentic Indian food. My wife and I had delicious naans and veg curry.”

“If you want amazing pork, migas and coffee, go here! The black pork was so succulent, and the migas was to die for!
