“Super cuisine. Le top pour déguster poissons et fruits de mer. Un succès qui se voit dès l’entrée et le temps d’attente sur la rue où les voitures croisent clients et serveurs (attention!).
Ce succès se voit aussi dans les toilettes qui mériteraient plus d’attention ou un peu d’investissement.
Addition 100€ /2 personnes. On était plus habitué à ces montants, mais c’était très bon.“

Very good monkfish rice, but in my opinion a little too salty and with a Knorr flavor. There was nothing lost in reducing the salt. However, in my group not everyone thought this. I also ate fried cuttlefish with cuttlefish ink. In my opinion, the name of the menu is misleading. For me, it's stewed, sautéed cuttlefish, anything but fried. In the Algarve there is a dish of fried cuttlefish with ink, I thought I had ordered that, and then it had nothing to do with it. Or at least the employees should explain that it is stewed when the customer asks. We were disappointed that it wasn't what we expected. But it was good. A good restaurant. The meat looked divine, it's for a next visit. I recommend the visit“

“1st time for me in Apulia.
Based for years at the suave mar hotel in Esposende every time I come to Portugal, I used to have lunch and dinner in this city or Porto, Braga, Viaba, Barcelos during my visits.
Due to Covid I haven't been here for 5 years. What a disappointment, the desposende restaurants have let themselves go.... little quality and exorbitant prices given the quality and taste offered. Esposende has also lost its aura...
So I fell back on the advice of my cousin, on Apulia which I discovered and found very pleasant, beautiful beaches bordered by windmills, historic buildings and a plethora of restaurants...
This one made me very welcome, I tasted very good grilled sardines, excellent seafood rice, served in quantity and quality: small shrimps, 6 very large prawns, 1/2 crab, cockles, mussels, small crabs, pairs, squid.... all served with humor, attention and kindness.
As soon as I return to Portugal I will go back there licking my lips?“

“Typical restaurant with excellent cuisine and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Outside tables are available with a pleasant view of the river and sunsets.
Even though the place was full, a table was made available to us in record time and Joana was extraordinary in giving us suggestions and accompanying our dinner. The dish that most captured my taste was a nice grilled sea bass shared with my wife and it was enough to satisfy our hunger. Definitely interesting sangria. Cost around €25 per head with abundant side dishes“
“This place makes me feel like I’m in Mayfair with the amazing level of service. Food was cooked to perfection! The omelette was to die for! Honestly. Chips hand cut, and prawns some of the best I’ve ever had. The waiter Carlos was amazing. First time I didn’t need to explain what an Americano was since I’ve been in Portugal too! Lovely jazz music playing all evening, but we could still hear our food being cooked!

“Very well located, close to the beach and the fish market, but with an unpretentious exterior, the Além do Mar com Sabores restaurant was a pleasant surprise.
The environment is simple but comfortable.
The service, from both Mr. Nelson and Ms. Cláudia, was excellent, attentive, warm and cordial without ceasing to be professional.

“When we pulled up we nearly drove on. However we live in Portugal and know that some of the best places don't look much from the outside. So glad we stopped. We had fantastic whole grilled sea bass and whole grilled sea bream (robelo and dourada) served with portuguese vegetables and delicious grill roasted potatoes. The grilling of the fish was perfect, moist and charred in the right places. Fish was on the bone but cut in a way so you didn't need to flip it to eat it. They also have great dessert with my wife living the camel drool ( google it). All in all a great typically Portuguese meal. Simple and delicious.“
“I absolutely love the Francesinhas here! Their sauce is absolutely on point and not completely overwhelming, fat and heavy like other places, as well as their fries - thin, fresh and crispy. Every time I come visit in Barcelos, I have to make the time to come eat a Francesinha at MyPlace! I love the atmosphere, feels at home, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

“Great discovery! We stopped there randomly to eat the special of the day. Alright ! It’s a restaurant for regulars. The cuisine is simple but perfectly well executed, with finesse, very balanced and the perfect quantities. As for the quality/price ratio without comment: €54 for 5 people with daily specials + drinks + desserts + coffee. And a really very friendly waitress, who went out of her way to be pleasant to us despite the language barrier.

“We ate some wonderful clams and a portion of delicious grilled octopus. We accompany it with some very delicious vegetables. The portions are very large but it is so delicious that you can't stop eating. In the photos the amount of product is not clearly visible, for example, the octopus comes covered with vinegar and underneath are enormous and delicious legs. The attention of the waiters was very careful. We just missed being able to enjoy the views of the beach, being as close as we were.“

“This may be controversial as there’s always a line at the restaurant next door, but having tried both, this restaurant is better. The food is delicious and fresh! For a place that gets extremely busy, the staff are extremely attentive from start to finish. The first time we ate the clams and grilled tiger prawns with fries. The second time we had the clams again, the coastal shrimp and a grilled dorado. Oh and both time we had the crema Catalans for dessert which tastes like honeycomb ice cream! Yum I will be back!!“

“We beat the crowds on Sunday evening in May. The restaurant was a short 15 minute drive from Lousã where we were staying. The restaurant is very attractive & popular filling up quickly. I chose the steak on a tile with migas & volcano potatoes. Fantastic! (The steak was actually veal, super tender, juicy & delicious.) My boyfriend got the chicken with rice, which he enjoyed, but he said not exactly what he was expecting. Our friend had the seafood risotto which she liked but thought it was a little salty. We finished our meals & my boyfriend got an aperitif and asked for the dessert menu, which never came. We waited about 35-40 minutes more to try & get the check and noticed another table go up to the bar counter to pay. My friend & I went outside my boyfriend had to wait another 10 minutes to get the check & finally pay. The restaurant is very popular but was not completely full, think they need to add more servers to handle the crowd. So food 5 stars, service -4 stars.“

“When everyone goes to the well established restaurant in the neighbourhood it’s worth to visit this place even though it’s almost empty. Food was absolutely top, as was the service (waiter speaks very good English). We had octopus and the sea food rice (I’ve never had such rich sea food rice in Portugal before). Go there.“

“Nice restaurant. We had lunch inside, after the initial crowds were over. Very attentive, friendly, correct service. We took the robalho grelhado with vegetables and potatoes. Fresh and very tasty! “At last notice we got recommended this restaurant and it lived up to my expectations. We started with Portugueses codfish xakes (Pastéis de bacalhao) and some Pato negra. Each choose a main course in my case perfectly cooked octopus, very tender. The almond cake, the chocolate mouse and the pao de lo were all really good. After we finished our coffees the super friendly and helpful waiter insisted on offering a glass of port wine, which we all very much enjoyed.“

“What a pleasant surprise. The idea would be to try one tapa or another but then order a burger. Turns out the tapas were so good that we decided to stick with the tapas. One of the best broken eggs I've ever eaten, I tried it with the francesinha sauce. Everything was very delicious, from the garlic bread, shrimp tempura, wings and even the alheira puffs. I can't say which one is the best, they're all very, very good. And top it off with the white chocolate petit gâteau! Delicious food, wow mix between typical and innovation. Without a doubt an experience to repeat. As they don't make reservations for less than 10 people, I went early, at 7:30 pm, and everything went very well.“
