“The place is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The pasta is served… differently. You won’t get the plate with the pasta directly. The waiter will come with a different portable table on which they have the pans in which the pasta was cooked. Then they’ll put the pasta on the plate in front of you. It’s stupid, but for some reason, really enjoyable.

We really liked it and we recommend the restaurant.

If you go, make sure to order some wine, it will make everything even better.“

“Nice restaurant with very pleasant team.
The moules are really Good especially the Gratinados as a starter.
As for the main dishes, it would be great if we can have a refill of moules because even if they are big moules it is not enough for someone with a great appetite.

“This place is so colorful! Not only does the restaurant look colorful, but so does the food. The dishes contain a lot of different vegetables/fruits. The staff is friendly and explain which dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. All dishes looked tasty. I tried a dish based on a pumpkin sauce with noodles, vegetables, chickpeas and black beans. It was delicious! For me the only downside is the visual menu. But the food is delicious, staff is friendly and the vibe is great so really recommend this colorful place!“

“Honestly, it's been a while since I've been to a restaurant where I left so satisfied. Everything was great. A good balance between price/quality. Good quality dishes and the food is made to order. We ordered several dishes and they were all good without anything outstanding. Sardines, bitoque, secretos, fried mackerel and Algarve squid. All these dishes were very well served. The service provided by the Brazilian girl and the Brazilian boy was wonderful, I felt at home.

No other workers, and yes you will wait for it but its only bigger proof that everything is fresh and homemade. “Had an amazing family and friends dinner here recently. Easily the best pizzas we have enjoyed in many years. We got a selection of pepperoni, black truffle and other pizzas and they were all great. We asked for and ordered the servers recommendations and he steered us very well. Family run business, and clearly run with passion and customer service in mind. The are only about 24 covers inside and a few small tables outside to book your table to avoid disappointment. Would highly recommend, and would happily return if/when back in the area in the future.“

Staff is friendly, but if was sometimes hard to communicate with the young waiter. We wanted the sauce on the side for our kids steak. Instead, it was drowned in sauce.

The shrimp skewer was not that special. And the veal slices were a bit chewy.

But other than that. Everything was really good!

“Wow!! We stopped into this place after a long drive to Cascais. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The Beautiful ambiance and views makes for a beautiful dinning experience. A little on the pricier side but the food and service is on the higher end on the scale. I had the bacalao with potatoes and my husband had the fried filet of sole. Both portions were very good size and the filet of sole came with tomato rice and salad. We also had the vegetable soup which was delicious. Be ware they set your table with a bunch of apps that you didn’t order and even if you just taste it you’ll be charged. Once we got to our table the table was set with olives, bread cheese and some minced rabbit dish, We asked what it was and sent it back because no one in our party ate rabbit. The cheese alone was 23euros so make sure you want it before you start your meal. The view is beautiful and its a wonderful way to have lunch or dinner.“

“While visiting Cascais, I came to have lunch at the Vela Azul Restaurant, a small, family-run space where traditional Portuguese food, especially fish, is the house specialty. The starter came with Bread, Toast, Butter and a Fresh Cheese. The main course consisted of tasty Grouper Fillets accompanied by naughty Tomato Rice and perfectly well prepared, full of aroma and flavor. I accompanied the meal with White Wine from Casa da Adega de Borba and sweetened everything with a great Homemade Biscuit Cake with butter and coffee.
