“Wonderful hidden place with amazing traditional cakes and great coffee. It was so good that we ordered more )). So for 2 cakes, 2 cups of coffee and a bottle of water was 9 euro all together. The view is spectacular! Really enjoyed. Thank you.

“Poncha one of the best we tried in Madeira! All flavors are delicious, except English tomato (I do not recommend this one). It's a small place on the corner, crowded, so it's hard to get a table in the evening, but you can take a drink in a paper cup to go. Affordable prices, great taste!”

“It is a place to drink craft beers, which has little more than three dishes (quesadillas, tacos and burritos) if you want to have dinner, but they are amazing and are more than enough (without accompaniments that in the end you always end up leaving, such as potatoes or salad).

Very quiet atmosphere at 8pm, although I suppose it goes on for days. It is a sports bar type place, so it is not for families with children, we did go with two teenagers.

I will repeat for sure before I leave.

“Highly recommended place in Madeira. After several tried espetadas we can say that it is one of the best and to highlight the homemade meatballs which are spectacular. Very good attention and service.”

“We were advised at A Traineira (Caniço de Baixo) and we are completely satisfied.
The bolo do caco at the beginning fresh from the wood-fired oven together with our traditional Poncha was divine. Then the picanha accompanied by 2 risottos (onion, beans and chorizo) was the highlight. We ordered it rare to our liking and it arrived that way. Then, at the end, the mousse clearly made in-house with hazelnuts on top was perfect, not to mention the always attentive service. I highly recommend it!”

“I visited Mundo Vegan – Vegan World together with my girlfriend, and we had a truly wonderful experience. Right when we entered, we noticed the pleasant atmosphere ~ calm, warm, and accompanied by relaxing music in the background. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. We really appreciate that the restaurant is entirely vegan. We chose the Umami Burger with mushroom, beans and herbs as well as a special lemonade. Since we already know the Beyond Meat patty, we wanted to try the mushroom patty this time ~ and it was a very good choice: fresh, flavorful, and pleasantly light. The lemonade was freshly prepared, which you could taste right away: refreshing, natural, and not too sweet. We found it particularly thoughtful that we briefly mentioned to the waitress that we would like to share the burger ~ and to our surprise, it arrived already cut in half at our table. < 3 Because we enjoyed the food so much, we treated ourselves to dessert: the chocolate cookie and a scoop of mango ice cream. The cookie was one of the best I’ve had in a long time ~ aromatic and clearly homemade. The mango ice cream was also fantastic: fruity and with an intense, natural mango flavor. “Excellent food, particularly recommend the chana masala. Several mains are clearly indicated as vegan, and there are a few more unlabelled (eg some starters, etc). Staff made sure to not bring yogurt sauce after we inquired about vegan food, I’m unsure if they automatically do this when ordering vegan dishes.”

“It's a nice little restaurant with some tables inside and outside. Staff is very friendly. As others wrote: ask for the vegan menu. Staff made sure to tell me what was vegan and what wasn't when it came to the free things they give you: first you'll get some papadam with 2 sauces (only the mango one is vegan) and then you get sth else (no clue what it was) that was serviced with dry ice = interesting experience. We ordered the pakora for starters and 2 curries as well as some bread with it. Including two drinks we paid about 50 euros. Would go again, nice experience!”
