“I have ordered a couple of times, their food is incredible... The kanaage chicken is superb.
Called one time to ask what should I order, and the lady who spoke to me advised the drunken chicken noodles, and I can tell you it was delicious.
Have not gone to the restaurant "yet" , but I would bet its 2x better than delivery.

“The space is well decorated and is comfortable and pleasant. The service was good, not too long, and we received great suggestions.
The food was delicious. We particularly liked the sashimi based, the Miso Ramen and the lemongrass Panna Cotta.

Yes… I said all that without even mentioning the food yet. The sushi so fresh and beautifully presented. And it’s delicious with some very unique flavor combinations. We had an absolutely wonderful experience here.“

“Very tasty Asian food restaurant. Spring roll with the right flavor and crunchiness. The highest point goes to the Chaw Mein, which was very good! One of the best I've ever eaten. Everything done on time. I highly recommend it! It's open from 12pm to 10:30pm, so when we visited in the middle of the afternoon there was no one there.“

“This is a self-service restaurant run by Chinese people in Portugal. You have to arrive early on weekends. I arrived at 1:30 and had to wait for 20 minutes. The food tastes good, the salmon sashimi is very fresh, there are sushi, teppanyaki, cooked food and fruit desserts. At two o'clock, some dishes (watermelon and salmon sashimi) were no longer available, but the service was very good. After telling the staff, they had them freshly cut and served immediately. The quality of the pork belly was good, and the quality of the shrimp was average, not bad but not very elastic either. But overall the price/performance ratio is very good! At noon on Sunday, it costs 38 euros for two people + two bottles of drinks, but it is a bit far from the city, so a round-trip taxi costs about 20 euros.“

“Place is wonderful, and probably the best service i've experienced in Porto. Everything was really tasty, for vegan options you just need to ask the personnel (most of vegetarian plates can be made vegan). Just regretting not coming here sooner“

“So with the first dish I was quite disappointed - I mean it was tasty but for the price…I was expecting much more. The next one was pretty good and really the mix of flavours I haven’t tried yet. However, I still would be honestly a bit salty if it wasn’t for the desserts. So if you’re seeking near to fine dining experience for a date or sth - highly recommend it. If you simply want to spend your last euros on something you won’t forget -there are better places in Porto. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-27“

“Everything was exceptional in this restaurant. I had the vegan Thali so I could try a little of everything and included rice, lentil stew, tofu curry, soya curry, vegetable curry and aubergine pickle. One of the best meals I've had in a long time!“

“The overall experience is ok, but there's a lot to improve. After going to similar restaurants (i.e. Omakase Ri in Lisbon) or even comparing it with real Izakayas in Japan, I have to confess they have a lot to do in terms of receiving guest, turning the meal into an experience, keep the environment (sushimans talk loudly to the costumers they are serving at a specific moment) and maintain food rounds in a carrousel of flavours that starts smooth and end up blowing minds. I find the 65euros menu price acceptable, but probably i would get out hangry if they wouldn't had served bread along with the last course before desert - furthermore, at the initial approach in the restaurant they talk a lot about such a bread, elevating the expectations, but it end ups being a bit of a disapointment. I also have to say their kind of Izakaya was overall really good as they manage quite well the "spicy" and "salty" flavours that are not so common in Japanese cousine. Congrats for the innovation but please revise house rules and guest service. Cheers“

“One of the best, most delicious sushi restaurants I’ve had globally. Located in a quiet part of the city, we were the only ones dining there at 7:30PM on a weeknight. We shared the 30 piece sushi and veggie gyozas. Affordable for the high quality sushi.“

“We went there for dinner and sat at a table outside, in the back of the restaurant, in a nice patio. The food was good, especially the mains. As starter we had the fried crepes which were a bit odd and pricey, as they came with a side of unseasoned lettuce and mint. As mains, I had the caju rice and my partner the egg noodles. Her’s was tastier, with large pieces of fried tofu, but mine was flavourful too. In any case I still see the overall experience as good and I would come back!“

“Excellent Asian restaurant!
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, very beautiful and comfortable.
The staff is friendly and responds quickly to requests.
The rodizio service method is excellent, it can be directly via your personal cell phone by reading the QRcode on the table or via the Tablet provided by the restaurant.
The choice was the carvery, it has an excellent variety and everything was very tasty and of high quality, in the carvery option (*only at lunch), drinks are included (*with limited beer).
I highly recommend visiting, I will definitely return to Xiwu!“
