“Simply the best food we ate in Madeira
(espada do chef and espada madeirense).

Apart from the amazing cuisine, the portions were very generous, and the prices very good, making for an optimal value-for-money relationship.

Wonderful service on a non-smoking balcony with distant sea view.

If we had discovered it earlier in our vacation, I think we would have eaten there every day.

Parking: Parking is free, 4-5 cars fit in the parking lot, the rest parked on the side of the road.“

“A perfect dinner from start to finish. The waitress paid attention to every detail and was extremely friendly and hardworking. The restaurant had a great ambiance for a couples date night. We ordered the homemade bread, calamari, shrimp, limpets, pistachio salmon, pepper steak, and two house desserts. Each dish was perfection and also so beautifully plated, and timely delivered. The price for the quality of food was outstanding and we couldn't have asked for a better dinner.“

“We dined here as part of the Calheta Beach all inclusive deal. Very stylish decor, the food was good without being exceptional, service was OK. The food is quite similar to what you get in the hotel restaurant but with a more refined presentation. All in all a satisfactory experience..

“The ambience right by the sea was very nice, the employees were very friendly and the food tasted delicious. However, the toilet on the first floor was an absolute disaster: the door couldn't be locked, there was no toilet seat or lid and everything was completely peed.“

“Very friendly and caring service (multilingual). Grilled tuna and espetada (meat on skewers) were good. Salad was fresh and tasty. The fries alone were too dry. Good selection of wine (Mateus Rose - very fruity and suitable for a summer evening).
Plastic chairs don't invite you to linger in warm weather, but as already mentioned, the friendly service makes up for it.

Since the menu has a lot to offer, we went back two days later: our recommendation... Hot Stone Steak!!! You have to be prepared for the hot sauce - it's quite something!“

A very good address with a view of the ocean (in fact the restaurant overlooks the beach). The service is careful and impeccable.
The lemon poncha is one of the best and the garlic bread accompanies it deliciously for a very local aperitif. I let myself be tempted by the squid and shrimp skewer accompanied by grilled sweet potatoes. It was divine but so filling that I couldn't finish my plate. My companion had the pork ribs and he enjoyed it. They were both tender and generous. We didn't have room for dessert. With regret because those of our table neighbors were magnificent“

“Das italienische Restaurant liegt direkt am Hafen und vom Tisch aus kann man aufs Wasser sehen. Die Karte bietet ein paar klar gelabelte vegane Speisen, manche optional vegan, wenn zB Käse beim Risotto weggelassen wird. Wir entschieden uns für Bruschett, Risotto und Foccachia. Für gewöhnlich frustriert mich Pizza ohne Käse, das hier angebotene Foccachia ist jedoch super lecker und würde ich jederzeit nochmal bestellen (ich hätte es eher als Pizza Marinara eingeordnet). Das Pilz-Risotto hingegen war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu fest.“
