About Royal Indian Cuisine Lagos

Royal Indian Cuisine Lagos offers a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. The large, spacious chairs and the possibility of dining without a reservation make it a convenient option. Despite the full restaurant, the atmosphere remains inviting. The menu features a good selection of Indian dishes at a medium price level, including many vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is clearly labeled for vegan dishes, making it easier for guests to choose.

The food is described as delicious and authentic, with large portions and tasty naan bread. Highlights include the Garlic Naan (without butter), Channa Masala, Baingan Ka Bharta, Dal, and Aloo Gobi, the latter being noted as one of the best. The staff is praised for their attentiveness and helpfulness, providing recommendations and even assisting with a map. The dishes, such as dal tadka, butter chicken, kadhai chicken, and saag lamb, are highly acclaimed, with the condiments and flavors being of superior quality.

The restaurant's location in the old town and the availability of warm blankets are also mentioned as positive aspects of the dining experience. However, some guests suggest skipping the salad due to its large, shredded pieces. Overall, Royal Indian Cuisine Lagos is regarded as a great spot in Lagos, with plenty of options for everyone.

Great spot in Lagos with plenty of vegan options! Many dishes listed as vegetarian are actually vegan or can easily be made vegan — just ask, the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, we loved it so much we went back for more! Our highlights: the Garlic Naan (without butter), Channa Masala, and Baingan Ka Bharta.

I’ll admit, I was ready to judge this place just for calling itself “Royal” – how would I even know royalty when I see it? But honestly… the food was actually great. Samosas and spring rolls are listed as vegetarian, but they’re vegan if you ask (same for the naan). One royal decree from me: skip the salad. Huge shredded pieces like they came straight from a lawn mower.

My husband and I went for lunch while visiting Lagos. We had tarka dal, bengan ka barta (eggplant), and nan. Everything was delicious! 😋👏
