“I didn't expect it to be so good!!! The fish was great and fresh. The atmosphere was quite pleasant inside, the staff were friendly but could have had a smile on their face more often. I will certainly go back, everything was very good... The employee Junior is 5 stars....
Parking: View of the Tagus River and there are plenty of seats.“

“If you haven't been to this place, you're missing out big time! Mushroom lover or not, you need to try this restaurant! In some dishes you don't even see the mushrooms, but rest assured, they are there. We tried a few dishes, my favourites were the perfect egg, the hummus, the risotto, and the desserts. Special node to the desserts, especially if you enjoy a bit of savouriness, definitely go for them. The restaurant has a very interesting character that is left open to interpretation and it's a good point for discussion. Overall a fantastic experience, definitely a must when visiting Lisbon. You won't find traditional Portuguese dishes, but you might find a new favourite restaurant!“

“One of the best restaurants in Setúbal.
The bosses and employees are very friendly and very professional, and the food is excellent.
Thank you for this discovery.

“Very good home cooking. A good place to eat a delicious Cod a la Nata. The place is small but we were lucky and there was a table for 4. The price is appropriate for the quality although it is not cheap, but a day of tribute is worth the expense.“

“If you don’t eat here while in Lisbon you’re missing out. The atmosphere is perfectly set, tucked away from the major tourist areas of Old Town makes this feel more intimate and local! Staff are attentive without disrupting your meal, happy to give recommendations and advice (shout out in particular to our waiter Diego). The food is in the simplest terms - delicious. Some of the best meals I’ve ever had, we ate twice here as we didn’t feel we’d find better in Lisbon. The restaurant is a credit to all their staff, I’d give it 10 stars if I could.“

“Taken by friends, as I was unfamiliar with the place, it proved to be a gastronomic surprise, despite the noise not allowing for large conversations. Without ever reaching the stratospheric limit of "divine", the small restaurant served dishes of good, honest and unpretentious Portuguese food. The only negative note for the creamed milk, floured and with few eggs, which could have been something from a packet. A shame, because the burnt sugar topping was delicious.“

“A highly recommended place, both the owner and the waiters are excellent, the owner takes the time to receive and welcome you. Excellent food, perfect size and quality price, you couldn't ask for more. The place is very comfortable and well-kept, and it is super quiet and relaxed. A place that we will undoubtedly return to.“

“A breath of fresh air in Setubal's gastronomy. Local ingredients and a mature and correct philosophy deserve all the merit they have! Super friendly and welcoming service, there are not many places these days that welcome us the way I was welcomed. Congratulations to the whole team, see you soon“

“We went on time for the Bolinhos de Bacalao and they are really good and at a good price, with a sauce that accompanies it great, they served us well. Access is not easy, there is no car and it is on a steep slope with the ground somewhat slippery, but it is worth it.
Parking: There is no parking nearby
Kid-friendliness: Yeah

“Excellent place for lunch or dinner in Lisbon!
It is very close to the historic center of Lisbon and the food is very good at a very good price for being in the center.
Joy has looked after us very well, he is very friendly and has advised us on everything we have asked for.“

“I've been here a couple of times, and every time I go to Lisboa travelling via Oriente station, I try to make a beeline for it. Fabulous food, wonderful , person attention, a real family business. And if you have never tried chilled blackberry juice (sumo de amoras) with berries floating in it on a very hot summer's day...baby, you haven't lived!!“

“We went to a “candlelight” concert at the “Mosteiro de São Vicente de Fora” and as we know that parking nearby is not easy… we thought we would arrive earlier than most and have dinner there, with “Gato Pardo” being the perfect option. … Dear, lots of space. friendly and good reviews (4.7*>thousand), and really well deserved! Everything was great, the gizzards, the cheeks, the bread & olive oil, the peppers ?️ pardon, the dessert, everything… It was one of those nights, simple and perfect. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend the experience!“

“Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere, and service provided by the owner. I've had the pork cheeks with mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs with black pork as a starter, and curd cheesecake as a dessert, along with the recommended red wine, and it has been the best meal I've had in Lisbon so far. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an incredible dinner in a very local Lisbon establishment.“

“Phenomenal experience in a secluded, charming place with familiar treatment that also appears in the flavors of its cuisine.
We return to a spectacular lasagna and some truffled tortellini with an intense flavor, very delicious.
Very nice and attentive service.“

“We reserved a table for 9, we got there in perfect time, they told us we called the wrong number, we checked with the restaurant owner and it was the exact same phone number you can find here, we tried to call the number in front of them and they hanged it in front of us. Unfortunately we don't understand Portuguese but they were clearly talking about us negatively. Reading comments we could understand they don't like foreigners that look "poor" and prefer to take reservations just for drinking and not eating. If you want to try and go there just know you can get rejected just because they don't like you by your look.
Good luck i guess.
EDIT: I'll keep the last comment because I think it should be clear what happened, they called us the next day saying sorry, they had a problem with a new manager, the "old" one asked if we wanted to go back to the place the next day, we did and they offered us a lot of food and drinks and they apologized, the food was grate and the "old" manager was really a awesome person, very pleasant dinner“

“A big favorite!!! ❤️ The server gave us excellent recommendations for lunch. Here they are: salmon ceviche, Portuguese sausages in “Alheira” filo pastry, Goat cheese and au gratin potatoes. A true delight !!!
Additionally, the terrace was charming. We shared a large space occupied by the terraces of other restaurants. Very nice atmosphere!!
I highly recommend U Tópico! ?“

“It feels like a restaurant frequented by locals. It really tastes like Seabeth.
Have lunch and come back in the evening.
It's much more delicious here than the tourist patch restaurants in the city. I want to try everything, but it's a shame.

“Memorable dinner at Beco a Sério. Tucked in a courtyard off a pedestrian street in the hills of Lisbon, a pleasant change from summer crowds and bustle. We were made to feel welcome and were able to enjoy well made top quality starters, main courses (both seafood and meat options were great), desserts, and nice wines. Small-ish place with maybe ten tables.“
“Nous sommes venus ici pour dîner sur ma dernière nuit à Lisbonne. Pendant que nous mangions sorte de tard c'était assez donc mes amis et moi avons pu vraiment profiter de notre conversation. Le service était excellent et ils ont eu la gentillesse d'expliquer certains des plats sur le menu qui est faite de la cuisine essentiellement locale. C'est un prix raisonnable et la nourriture goûts incroyable. Vraiment j'espère avoir l'occasion d'y retourner.“

“Probably a tad on the pricier side of Portugal but very good. Good sangria, great Iberian ham, and tried this interesting banana chicken toastie

“It is possibly our favorite restaurant in Setúbal and where they have the best sardines and charcoal-grilled fish imaginable. If we also add the family atmosphere, the charm of everyone who serves you there and a great variety of desserts, all of them homemade, I think you couldn't ask for more.
In short: a must-see if you pass through Setúbal or seen in another way, a good reason to visit this beautiful Portuguese city if it was not in your plans.“

“While visiting Montijo I decided to have lunch at the Casa do Pescador Restaurant and I have no doubts in saying that it is one of the best places to eat fish in the city.
On my visit I started with good bread, well-seasoned olives and a starter of Fried Pelim, very well served and very fried.
For the main dish I decided to try the Raia with Pitau Sauce, a very well served individual portion (serves two people) and accompanied by good baked potatoes. The Raia is cooked and in addition to olive oil, vinegar and paprika, it also contains a tasty onion.
I accompanied everything with House White Wine and finished with a very well prepared Homemade Banoffe. 5-star service and prices around €25 (the dishes serve two people well, if they eat a starter). I recommend!“

“After being recommended by friends, I went to this restaurant and it was an excellent surprise. Great food, generous portions and fair price! The grilled veal chop, despite being well done as I requested, was super tender. The desserts are "homemade" and were very good too. Fast and efficient service. Super friendly staff! I recommend making a reservation!“

“Great local seafood restaurant in Lisbon!
We had Cod filet, clamps, seafood rice, and garlic prawns (so good that we even forgot to take photo). All the seafood here is really fresh and the seasoning is simple but heightening the flavors of the original ingredients.
This place seems more for local Lisbon people to have a beer and some seafood snacks not tourist-oriented. The price here is very reasonable. The interior decoration is also very simple. Staff here might not speak English, but they still try offering friendly services.
Definitely a place worth a visit for local seafood experience in Lisbon.“

“Very nice hidden gem if you ask me. The food was amazing, we had different tapas that we shared and we did not discover one we did not love.
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarion options on the tapas menu! But mostly with cheese (no problem for us), like goat, camenbert, gratin and burrata.“

“Small but very welcoming restaurant, with a terrace on the street, impeccable staff with super affable and friendly service, excellent quality food, not to mention the value for money... at lunch the menu is €10 with soup, main course, drink, dessert and coffee, all great and tasty! My chicken steak with cream and Portuguese-style pork were very good! Quality traditional Portuguese food is really worth it!“

“I loved it, I don't think it could have gone better.
Full house, great food full of delicious details like pine nuts in meatballs with cherry sauce; super friendly and efficient service, fair and serious prices, diverse menu with starters that serve perfectly as a meal for those who like to snack on different dishes, very good atmosphere with people of different ages, families, friends, locals and foreigners in full coexistence.
But all because the food is delicious; congratulations, I'll be back!“

“We wanted to go to the famous restaurant next door but as there was a queue the staff advised us to go to this new place from the same group and with the same chef. We were pleasantly surprised because everything was really delicious! The waiter at our table did not serve us well, first offering us wines and bitters and then saying he didn't have them so we could buy something else at a higher price. When I pointed this out to the room manager he immediately offered us the bitters we had requested and which according to the boy were not available, going to get them directly from the wine shop next door (always from the same group). We liked the Muscatel so much that we bought a bottle and drank some glasses of Port too. We definitely were unlucky with the table boy because the rest of the staff were magnificent!“
“Super delicious food, great atmosphere, lovely staff.
I had the Rustic Cheese Toast, I could choose either tomatoes or chorizos, I chose tomatoes and enjoyed it.
The side salad was fantastic, best salad I had in Lisbon.
The toast is very big, I took half of it in a take away box.
Can’t recommend it more“

“First visit to Setúbal and I can guarantee that the gastronomic experience was divine.
Dishes very well served for price/quality.
We recommend that you make your reservation and if there are only 2 people you may be lucky enough to show up and the manager will certainly give you a "handy" and you will be received by her with great friendliness and hospitality.
As for the rest of the service, it's a bit peculiar, but each one has its own way.
Very rich and tasty food. I'll leave a photo so you can salivate.
Ps: Don't forget to order the house wine!
Thank you Antóniu's!“

“My Air b&b owner recommended this restaurant. We waited for 3 hour for them to open for dinner. It was worth it. We had the sea bass and two squids for 4 people. They were all very delicious. Not much seasonings on the fish and squids, so the taste was original. Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Everything is very rich. Right off the bat they gave us four starters, goat cheese, olives, large cooked shrimp, and octopus salad with peppers with garlic butter. And two very delicious types of bread. Second, swordfish with potatoes cooked with oil and garlic, a salad and something very curious. I discovered that it was bread mixed with water and oil, with parsley and other spices, garlic oil, pepper and a spicy sauce. Very good.
In short, a delicious experience for €60.(2 people)
Wonderful!!
Sorry, the puffer can't resist some chocolate.... A frozen Brownie. It wasn't necessary, I was about to burst, but long live gluttony!!!!!!!

“The chicken is definitely very good, cooked to perfection and well seasoned. I haven't tried the remaining options yet.Prices are a little higher than the competition, but still acceptable.Reviewing the issue of service only on a first-come, first-served basis, whether or not you have an order, something that I think makes no sense, and that everyone who orders agrees with because one of the most frequently asked questions is whether the password is the same. Other establishments have two passwords, and whoever ordered has some priority, after all it was something "arranged" in advance... Here the first time I went I ordered for 8pm, I arrived at 7.55pm and was served at 8.20pm, which I think is not correct and which must be corrected.“
