We went to Solar for my birthday lunch. I had not been to Solar for some years now, but it continues to be a north star for excellent food in Lisbon. Lots of great choices in the menu, we went for the "arroz de lagosta e gambas" and the "bacalhau assado". Both excellent and in generous portions too. As a starter we had some delicious "peixinhos da horta" and we finished off with "arroz doce"...and it was also very good and in a big portion. Service is extremely professional! Very poor service, underwhelming. The food was good, but a tab6side dish was not served table side, the wine had to be served by us as rhe waiter was missing, so okay, but not worth the hype

Efficient service, good food, not too many smiles or interaction from waiters. Well run, busy restaurant. I dined alone, and there were a few other customers on their own. Go early to ensure you do not get overlooked.
