“Amazing value for money.
We got bread and rolls for our hikes from there every morning. We also took the chicken pizza and some other savoury treats with us and everything was tasty.
We treated ourselves to a breakfast of cake one morning as there are soooo many to choose from. The slices are enormous.
Would recommend to have breakfast there every day to try everything. I tried a lot in a week but still feel I am missing out on some things :)“

“A magnificent surprise during the trek in the Levada dos 25 Fontes. You can also get there by leaving the car on the nearby road and walking 200 meters downhill, but we found it on the trekking route. The pasteis de nata are worth it, hot and delicious“

“A local pub, I love such places and this atmosphere. We drank coffee, ponchos, ate ice cream and got free beans for a snack. (EDIT: these are not beans, but edible lupine) The garden is partially under a metal roof - perfect for hot weather.“

“We hiked the Pico Grande (picture) , weather was hot, so our camel bags were empty as we returned and this bar was the first one we found afterwards! so we ordered cola, water, ice tea...so grateful that this dude had a bar so high in the mountains. Friendly service and low prices. Obrigado“

“The ambiance here is awesome, endearing and super quiet. We a little retreat ?The food is fresh, probably from the area and allergies and intolerances are taken into account. When I was told that I was allergic to egg whites, the waitress offered to make me a roll with a spread of my choice. Sounds like an ad but I've never eaten such a delicious ham roll ?The staff speaks English with ease and I'm polite, courteous and leave enough time for small talk when no other customers are waiting.
Vegetarian options: e.g. rolls that can be topped with cheese
Parking: You can park all along the street
Wheelchair accessibility: Located on ground floor level
Dietary restrictions: The staff pays attention to allergies and intolerances“

“This place is a fantastic find! The food was delicious, especially the prego (which was the best I had in Funchal). The prices were very reasonable and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Highly recommend! Conveniently located in close to the Forum Mall.“

“The view is pleasant, I think it’s good place where you can stop and drink something on your way to beach. The English breakfast was nice, the best were butter, jam, toasts and beans. The bacon and eggs were not bad, but the sausage tasted really weird. We were satisfied with the breakfast because it really filled us up for the day.“
“Excelente home made food prepared daily. No menu, just 1 meal on offer daily. This is called ‘Prato do dia’ and the main clientele are local workers. Delicious traditional food - not veggie or vegan friendly - and you have the choice of a full portion or half. Highly recommend.“
“Went there to have a little drink. Ordered a beer and a wine. Wine was from a tetra pack, but still tasty. It cost a total of €2.20, so basically nothing. There is seating and parking spaces. Woman behind the counter was very friendly. Gladly again.“

“This is a typical local smoll bar, you can have something to eat/drink even try local snacks and drinks.
Parking: It has around 10 parking spaces next to the entrance of the bar, free of charge.
Wheelchair accessibility: That is a flat entrance, same level as the parking lot“

“Delicious seafood restaurant with an amazing terrass with seaside view. We arrived quite late (30min before closing) but luckily they were still willing to prepare a delicious meal for us. Fresh and large portions! Great price-quality. Inside there is also a screen to watch football such as European championship for example.“

“Our lunch at the Lavrador São Vicente restaurant was a real highlight of our stay in São Vicente. We tried the grilled mussels and the fish of the day (sea bass) and were amazed by the quality and taste of the food. The mussels were grilled to perfection and the sea bass was fresh and superbly prepared.
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Despite the high quality of the dishes, the prices are more than fair, making this restaurant a must for anyone in São Vicente. The service is also particularly noteworthy: the service was extremely nice and made us feel very welcome.
Overall, we can only warmly recommend the Lavrador São Vicente restaurant. If you are in São Vicente, you definitely shouldn't miss this culinary experience!“
“The cafe is not necessarily on the hiking route of the city levada, but if you “descend” early, somewhat adventurously, with the “Escadas da Ribeira dos Socorridos”, a large brewery and the cement works in sight - this is an ideal point to relax with a snack or drink in the entrance area or, if you like it quieter, in the enclosed rear dining area.I believe that hardly any hikers get lost here, but rather the guests from the nearby areaCome to the works or use a break to put new tires on your car next door.Be that as it may, the prices are moderate, the service is friendly and it tastes good.“

“This is one of the authentic bars in Madeira. Starting from the front door itself, above which something about tradition is written, to the door handle itself, which is original and over 100 years old. The floor is made of cobblestone, old stone, like Skadarlija in Belgrade or in general the old pedestrian zone in cities. Inside there is an old anchor, lanterns, machines used to make wine, as well as various other decorative items. The choice of drinks is a separate story and I hope I won't scare you if I tell you that there are old bottles of wine that cost 2000 euros. Good old rum is served here as well as standard drinks. The view is beautiful because the sea is right across the street. Truly a place you should visit if you're passing by.“

“Lovely place for your breakfast, tea or just a snack. Lots of variety on pastries and they are usually good. If you want to have a meal, there is that option but I wouldn't recommend for the price Vs quality.
Go for a sweet and coffee/tea.“

“Viana pastry shop is already a reference for us and can satisfy our desire for sweet and savory treats. It also offers one of the best francesinhas in Madeira that goes very well with the craft beer that was born in Braga but bears the name of the house. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is attentive and friendly. I recommend a visit.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Frenchie“

“We found the place by chance. The truth is that when you like a place and they treat you well, you come back. This is what happened to us, we came twice during our vacation, because of the good food and the excellent treatment of the staff. On my next trip, we'll come for sure!“
“Very tasty German bakery - located in the middle of Funchal ? in a shopping center that has definitely seen better days, but Bruno is great. Unfortunately we haven't made it to pretzels yet, they're always available "tomorrow" ??Absolute recommendation - 5 stars if we get pretzels ??“

“This is where your day in São Vicente begins. Very good coffee (Chinesa), delicious cakes (large selection, everyone will find something for themselves) and friendly service. Adding mountain and ocean views, we have perfection. For dinner, I recommend Picado - delicious.“

“Honor to the humble local places of Madeira, honestly it was what we were looking for. A place that we could define as home-made and a little spartan, with a visible grill inside the restaurant, the chefs who could have been my uncle and aunt at the barbecue on May 1st, I was already excited (if I wanted to go to the restaurant I went to Milan, my opinion). Breathtaking view from the balcony for this small restaurant located at the base of the mountains that surround it in their entirety. Super cheap place, with 7 euros we got a "complete" dish of chicken and pork, rice, potatoes and salad... fantastic. I want to point out the kindness of the waitresses, they made us feel at home. Go there“

“Best prego’s on the island! We stopped in by chance and the service was superb. We loved our laid back trip to the island and the warm hospitality of the locals. Coral preta in ice cold glasses to start followed by the best pregos and hand cut chips on the island. We rounded offf our snack with a bica (espresso) and made a few more visits during our two weeks on the island and were never disappointed.“

“When you go to a beach front restaurant it is reasonable to be cautious about the quality and taste and service. Here the food was very reasonably priced. Pizza is freshly made to order and even a good old British fish n chips with banana is at a reasonable price. Situated next to the (imported) sandy beach it is ideal to keep you hydrated, fed and in budget. Staff are friendly. Rebecca our waitress was lovely.“

You will get the best that Ponta do Sol village can offer when it comes to food.
Great vibe, friendly staff and the food is so delicious and nicely presented, couldn't ask for better.
