“O.Giro was a delightful way to end our day with excellent coffees and the most amazing Churros with cookie dough ice cream in the centre.
So naughty but oh so nice. The waiter informed us they were the best in the world....he may well be right !!“
“An enchanting little snack bar with great service and delicious meals. Their lunch specials are great so get there early before they run out of the specials. If you miss the specials that's ok, just about everything on their menu is the best version you will find. I love their simple yet delicious vegetable wrap and their chicken mixed salad. Even the beets, which I normally don't like are an addition to the tasted profile of salads and warps due to how thin they are sliced. The snack bar is nesstled in a quiet street near the Rodoeste business office.“

“This is definitely the best craft beer spot in the Island.
The variety and choices of beers on tap and on can is very large and good.
The quality of the beers and homemade nibbles is undeniable.
I’ve spent a week in Funchal and have been visiting Graca and Duarte every open day !
Thank you for your kindness and your very warm welcome, and for a new friendship !
I’ll be back soon

“This cafe is very close to the Cathedral in Funchal. I only had an Americano coffee, but it tasted great and only cost 1 euro 10! A great place to go if you don’t want to be ripped off. You pay at the till once you have ordered ( no table service). Friendly staff. Clean toilet facilities.“

“This place is a fantastic find! The food was delicious, especially the prego (which was the best I had in Funchal). The prices were very reasonable and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Highly recommend! Conveniently located in close to the Forum Mall.“

“Bar Lounge on the theme of music, a fairly intimate atmosphere with a refined but elegant decoration. Special mention for the counter lined with bottles and large mirrors!
The cocktail menu is in the form of a mini discotheque.
I recommend the “Sweet Coffee of Mine” which is truly amazing!“

“The beautiful homemade wings are already a reference for anyone who wants to try this delicacy. The wings are delicious, very well seasoned and always hot. Ready to make delicious treats. They can also be accompanied by traditional fried corn and, why not, a beer. An excellent place for a snack. I recommend!“
“(Translated by Google) Simple cafe for locals. Apparently family. For breakfast they make a very tasty omelet! Fresh pastries and coffee/tea. The prices are not funchal at all. The hostess does not speak English. Recommend!(Original)Незамысловатое кафе для местных. Видимо семейное. На завтрак делают очень вкусный омлет! Свежая выпечка и кофе/чай. Цены совсем не фуншаловские. Хозяйка не говорит на английском. Рекомендую!“
“We found this place close to the Castelo Sao Jorge and it was good to pop in for snacks and drinks after walking around the castle in the heat of the day. We could see them making various pastries. We loved the natas which were amongst the best we ate in Portugal. We also had some croissants which were equally good.“
“Immaculately morning stop! As a bakery enthusiast they are always a first stop abroad and this one is the best of the best. High quality pastries, quick service. The nata was amazing and would be my top rec! Everything priced well. 2 nata, 1 croissant and 1 spinach pocket were only €5.“
“Booked after reading reviews, for my husbands birthday. Was not disappointed at all. Everything was perfect. The best food eaten in Madeira . Service excellent, view amazing, a definite whist staying on the island. Tucked away so off the main and busy streets. Will be returning before the end of our stay, for lunch. 10/10 , well done and THANK YOU“

“Great food,we had tuna wraps which were made fresh with lots of veg and full of flavour. Also had fresh juices, the orange juice was made freshly from oranges in front of us!!
Everything was good, including an unbelievable view over Funchal“
“Excellent place to have your breakfast, variety of cakes, empanadas and you can eat a good cheese and ham sandwich with the bread of your choice to accompany breakfast... You can buy bread to take home too. There is an ATM where you can withdraw money if you need it.
Parking: Around the establishment there are spaces on the road where you can park for free.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, wheelchair accessible...“
“(Translated by Google) Cute little shop that we stumbled upon by accident. Have tried the poncha here and I would say it has it all. In contrast, the poncha at the harbor tastes like orange juice. So here msn gets something for its money and it is absolutely not expensive. The employee was very nice and you can sit here for a little break. One can only recommend such shops :)(Original)Süßer kleiner Laden in dem wir durch Zufall gelandet sind. Haben den Poncha hier mal probiert und ich würde sagen der hats in sich. Dagegen schmeckt der Poncha am Hafen nach Orangensaft. Hier bekommt msn also was für sein Geld und es ist absolut nicht teuer. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr nett und man kann für eine kleine Pause gut hier sitzen. Solche Läden kann man nur empfehlen:)“

“We stayed in the hostel down the street here, but even when we were no longer here we came back to this bakery for tasty pastries but also good sandwiches. We had some difficulty navigating the menu, but the staff helped us perfectly with this, definitely worth a stop for anyone in the area! You get value for your money here
For 6 euros we got 1 pastel de nata here, 1 sandwich with omelette and a sandwich with steak, cheese, tomato lettuce, really delicious!!“
“Pastelaria K is located on a side street of Rua Levada do Cavalo, on a road that has no exit, but it is possible to easily reverse course. It belongs to the parish of São Pedro, municipality of Funchal, the main municipality of Madeira Island. It is easy and free to park nearby. Here you can have a good coffee or an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. It has a pleasant and spacious terrace. The bakery is of good quality and the service is friendly and cordial. A little pricey, but good value for money. Space hygiene is another positive factor of this pleasant space.“

“Fantastic value for money at this family run restaurant. Juliana is a very friendly host who like all the best customer service staff , does not forget you . We went last September 2022 and again this week on our second visit to the island . Menu of the day at 5.30 euros is well worth it , the seafood rice we had this week was superb , and the 1/2 portion was a substantial meal . Would recommend it very highly“
“The best thing about this place is the wonderful position: in the very centre of Funchal, very close to the port, it is a wonderful point to start your journey in Madeira. Rooms are modern and beautiful, they are cleaned not very often (in 8 days, only one day was cleaned). Very easy check in/out. Very competitive price.Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants, bar, a big market (Continental)Safety: No locker in room“
“Found this small local cafe while walking and waiting for our rental car to be cleaned. A very polite host treated us with delicious deserts and tea. But most shocking was the price - it's really cheap compared to city center and tourist spots. Cash only.“

“The view is pleasant, I think it’s good place where you can stop and drink something on your way to beach. The English breakfast was nice, the best were butter, jam, toasts and beans. The bacon and eggs were not bad, but the sausage tasted really weird. We were satisfied with the breakfast because it really filled us up for the day.“

“This is a bar/cafe that is well worth a visit. We visited on a number of occasions for coffee, lunch and drinks during a recent visit to Funchal. The service from their lovely staff was excellent, the sandwiches and pastries top class and overall the atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed every visit. On the other hand, the names of the products are not translated into English or French but the staff is helpful and we manage to make ourselves understood.“

“Space that may go unnoticed even by those who frequently travel that street. However, this situation is reversed from
the day we attended it. Restaurant/bar that is guided by cleanliness, but whose highest score is the friendliness and delicacy of the welcome received.“
“Good food at very reasonable prices.Soup of the day was delicious (2,80€), as it was the dish of the day (bacalhau/cod with rice, 7€).Nice table on the terrace with view of the square.Smiling and friendly staff willing to help.Obrigado às garçonetes! Da Espanha“
“Strong party atmosphere in this cosy little bar. Just us and some old Funchal locals - but boy were they lively! We watched France Morocco in the world cup and they were hyped af, sloshing down the beers and hugging us at the smallest excuse. Great selection of beers, eggs and chocolate bars ok display in this hidden gem in Funchal centre.“

“Much more than a Snack-Bar! More like a star restaurant with low prices. We had excellent food after a visit to The Palace Hotel garden and even better cocktails. Friendly and hospitable staff. Absolutely recommended for a drink, a snack or even better, a complete meal. Very tasty!“

“If you like tourist areas this is fine, if you don't, I wouldn't advise going out of your way to visit this or any other place in Funchal. If you are knocking about the area then this is a quieter side with outdoor seating, friendly staff (seemed under pressure though)Food was nice, order didn't come exactly as asked but that had more to do with me and my accent not being clear enough - need to remember when traveling that the people you are speaking too may not have English as their first language.“

“Wonderful restaurant! Mauricio Faria, the chef, does a great job, especially when it comes to starters and main dishes (the pasta with lamb are amazing, as well as the fish we had). Waiters are very friendly and attentive, and the place, with its orange morrocan vibes, makes the experience even more appreciable. I unreservedly recommend :)“

“Absolutely the best traditional steak sandwich at Madeira, we tried it in several places but nothing comes even close.
Pizza also very good.
Quality great, considering the price it is one of the best places to eat at the whole island.“
“Right down a busy pedestrian zone you‘ll find this little treasure of a snack bar offering the traditional Bolo do caco. This is the quintessential Madeiran snack sandwich taken to new levels. The food was lovely, the staff great despite being super busy, and we‘d have come back, hadn‘t it been our last day…“
