A place very popular with locals and tourists, it is practically a must to stop by here to taste the famous cachorrinos, a kind of local hot dog with spicy sausage and melted cheese. Noisy, more suitable for a snack or a beer than for a dinner.

We visited this pub on the very first evening of our stay in Porto and went to many other places later. In hindsight we all agree that this was - by far - the best place to eat. The waiters were lovely, and very fast! They also explained everything we asked about and we were grateful for their patience with us! If there's a queue, you can ask the waiters to write your name on the waiting list and they will come outside and tell you once a table's available. There were 10 people in front of us but we only waited for 15 minutes and had a very pleasant chat with some locals in the meantime. I highly recommend to try the cachorrinho. If you're still hungry after that, order a second one :D

Great street food at a very reasonable price! Try their version of a hotdog, amazing and flavourful. Small portion so you may want to order two. You could share one serving of fries between two people.Limited seating, so a late night snack will have you waiting in line for a hour. We went late afternoon and didn’t wait at all. Well worth the visit!
Parking: There was no local parking, so walking best alternative to getting to restaurant.

Original place of the puppies. To eat quickly and leave. Full of people at all hours. Some waiters are a bit stale, but we were served pretty quickly. To go at least once to try the typical dish is great, but not to repeat more times.

There was a line to eat at the premises when I went, so we opted for the take away option. The fries are not frozen and they give you a very generous portion. The puppy is good for what it is. One is fine, but if you are hungry better order two. The service... One waiter was quite rude and another was very nice. You cannot pay by card (or at least they didn't give me the option)

The specialty is the hot dogs, which are excellent, accompanied by old-fashioned fries. Peeled and fried to order. The francesinhas are also very good. I recommend.

Often when MB is out of service, make sure you take money with you. Top Frenchie puppy with top content but the sauce I wasn't a fan of. Good potato, but I think they could change the oil more regularly because every now and then they come with a used oil flavor.
