“Going to a barbecue place is to eat roast meat, and the offer is varied and of high quality.
After a certain time, the service becomes slower as the staff begins to have difficulty keeping up with the movement of the house. For quick service, it's best to go to the kitchen opening and stay for the necessary time for the meal (it takes a while to pay after a certain time ?).
There is not much parking in the area.“

“Came here on the search for some seafood and we were not disappointed. The octopus was so so tender and the side veggies and potatoes were really buttery and tasty. The vegetarian pasta was very yummy too. The plant based sausage was alright but honestly it was a win that they even had a vegetarian protein! We also got the shrimp rice and it was very good, a sort of gumbo/stew with huge shrimps and a tomato-based sauce. Really happy w our server and the bustling location as well. All in all, one of the best meals we’ve had while in Portugal hands down“

“We came across the restaurant by chance during our visit to Porto. It is located in an alley, there is little space but we waited a little but the grilled sardines were worth it. The owner will give you a warm welcome and the prices are very affordable.“

“Simply great, you won't regret it. The price-quality ratio is adequate. The dishes we ordered were all delicious. Our waitress and the girl at the bar were very friendly. Place cleaned, very detailed service. From the portion of bread to the presentation of each dish. Attached photos. It should be noted that there are photos that I couldn't stand and I ate the tacos, they serve two. Two pieces of meat are missing from the plate.“

“Good 'locals' restaurant. Decent food and really attractive prices. Bottle of Vino Verde under four Euros.... Menu is only in Portugese and the waiter doesn't speak English, but that just adds to the fun... Busy lunchtimes , quiet in the evenings.“

“We ate here 4 times during our visit and every time was excellent. The staff is very welcoming and the food is delicious. I recommend the veal steak (posta de vitela grelhada). All the dishes we tried were excellent and the prices were very good. The people who served were very friendly and they helped us with all our questions. Highly recommend. It is not a tourist restaurant, but it is more of a local one.“

“We went in August 2023. Unmissable experience in Porto. Upon arriving, we were warmly welcomed with a cover of fresh and delicious bread (including focaccia) and impeccable service. We opted for the entrecot paella, which was divine and went very well with a red Altano 2020, and a spicy one recommended by the attendant Ana Lúcia, who was friendly and had impeccable service throughout the restaurant experience and gave us this excellent tip. We will definitely be back.“

“I have made O Marinheiro my go to for lunch over the past year. I always select from the Prato do dia menu and have not been disappointed. The staff, food, and atmosphere are awesome. I recommend taking the low ratings posted with a little skepticism.“

“We went for dinner and the experience was incredible, the staff was super nice and the service was great. The meat is very good and you can tell that it is made with hot coals. Spectacular port wine. And very good price and quantity, recommended to eat new flavors and a meat of 10.“

“Brazil's representative global chain, famous for its all-you-can-eat Rodizio. This place was great too. It is located on the second floor of the very nice Norteshopping shopping center (the first floor by continental European countries standards), and the salad included in the price was excellent and the meat was delicious. Pain de Queche (cheese bread), Brazil's national bread, which I have not seen at Fogo de Chao in Lisbon, is also provided. The basic option costs about 25 euros, and I had it with 1 liter of sangria (about 12 euros) and was satisfied because it was good value for money.“

“**Dear Sir,**
I hereby register a formal complaint regarding the order made at the Barcarola restaurant through the Uber Eats platform.
It turns out that the delivery person on that platform did not collect the order at the establishment, resulting in an unacceptable delay. As I was informed, the order had been ready for more than 40 minutes, and, although the restaurant had access to the customer support phone number, it did not take the initiative to get in touch to inform about the situation, showing serious disrespect towards the consumer.
This omission by the restaurant caused me significant inconvenience and frustration, as I was unable to receive my meal within the stipulated time.
Yours sincerely“

“Hidden gem of a locals cafe. We ate here three times in our stay. Food better and fresher than the more expensive places. Everything cooked to order & very affordable. Grilled salmon steak or fried octopus excellent. All tapas good. English menu. Waitresses all attentive & pleasant. Thanks to lovely server in green top who chased after me when I forgot my bag & sunglasses.
Vegetarian options: Veg lasagne & nice tapas (mushrooms on ciabatta bread & fried jalapenos, cheese platter)“

“Family restaurant that doesn't look like much.
Very good, abundant cuisine that will satisfy even the biggest eaters. Meats are served as desired, and it is possible to have side dishes if necessary.
Top notch servers.
Their homemade liqueur (whose recipe is a secret) is also delicious.“

“It’s really difficult for me to walk by here and not stop and get a bifana. You can smell them and see the guys making them through the windows. And oh my are they delicious! I love going in because there’s always quite a few people working there and they are friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy grilling together. Definitely treat yourself to this yummy meat forward place. They do also have a nice salad with grilled peppers.“
“This restaurant is a pearl of Portuguese gastronomy! The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is exceptionally attentive. The dishes are a true journey through the flavors of Portugal, with special emphasis on the francesinha, a rich and robust delicacy, perfectly balanced. The broken eggs were also a pleasant surprise, with the perfect combination of simple and comforting flavors. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to explore the authentic Portuguese palate. It's definitely a place to come back to often!“

“This is the one place in the Porto tourist area where I come for down to earth nourishment. A have been here a few time by myself and with expats. The staff speaks very little English but they make for it in service, kindness, and service. I particularly LOVE their moellas (guisards) on a bed of rice. They have other dishes that are just as delicious. Just can't remember what they are now... (no, I am not Rittos' happy... ?)
Watch out for the wine. It seems to have higher alcohol content because I get happy when I order it. Even with a half a "garrafa" (pitcher), my lunch mate and I ended a tad tipsy.
Parking: I think a couple owns it and they are your servers, cooks, and cashiers.“

“It was our first day in Porto and was looking for something to eat (landed at 12:00 and was back by about 15:00) found this lovely cafe and the food was good! Ernesto (owner of the cafe) had informed us about Porto and what to eat and best ways to get around! Would highly recommend to anyone who is in this part of Porto and food was very good and inexpensive compared to a lot of other places!“

“Cozy atmosphere, with a careful aesthetic that makes us feel at home. Congratulations to the Chef because the food is very good, well prepared, traditional Portuguese, the desserts are very varied and excellent. The service is attentive, friendly and efficient. It has a warm and familiar atmosphere, it is a quiet and romantic restaurant, a good suggestion for couples on a special occasion, weekend dinners and also for those who want to avoid noise and crowds.“
“My 40th birthday couldn't have been better! There are no words to describe yesterday. It was simply incredible! Tasca Langarica, located in the Vitória neighborhood, in Porto, did an exceptional job. Each dish served was wonderful and the service was impeccable. It's so good to know that we still have places like this in our city, which exude the essence of Porto.
I feel extremely proud to have been born in this wonderful city. Once again, a huge thank you to Tasca do Langarica for making my day so special ??????“

“HIDDEN GEM.Genuine portuguese recipes, high quality bakery, sweet and savory alike. The savory "bôla", the croissants, or their dried fruit soft biscuits, there's a lot to enjoy.Bonus, it has a feel of the Porto from the old days, before it became more turist oriented, the customers are mainly locals.Very friendly service, and on the less expensive side as well.Highly recommended“

“Very good broken eggs with homemade potatoes and well stuffed. Sausage-style roasted chorizo is also good. All washed down with rose wine
The outdoor terrace with the shade of the trees is pleasant
What is disappointing is the slow service and lack of customer care. We haven't had anyone come to the table for a long time. There is a huge list but there is little available“
“These people went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed the meal. We will be eating here again. I wanted piri piri chicken, which wasn't on the menu. They went out of the way to produce one, and it was fantastic. The price was good also.“

“Molto obrigado.. Nine years ago we set foot in this obscure little piri piri place for the first time. Me and my partner were amazed by the quality and taste of their food. Today we went back and its still awesome. Service is impeccable and the dynamics of this restaurant is one of a kind. People in suits and workman have their lunch here, all quietly enjoying the food. Chapeau!“
