Really exciting
Underutilized but on summer days, a drink and a view of the river is pleasant.
Nice for a little rest time...too bad it's too expensive but ok I'll pay Marina...I'll come back

Marina do Freixo is a pleasant spot with a small marina overlooking boats and the Douro River, which makes it worth visiting. Currently, it offers a coffee service in a temporarily adapted space while the building undergoes construction. The scenic views of Rio are a highlight, and the environment is good for a visit or a late afternoon drink on the terrace. It is a great place to eat before a boat trip (Zapdouro is highly recommended!), but visitors should leave plenty of time as service can be slightly slow. The food is very good and affordable, making it a popular choice for many. However, the restaurant is not very glamorous and leaves a lot to be desired in terms of gastronomy, with some finding the food not worth it for Portugal's rich culinary tradition. Service can be slow and the bathrooms are far and hidden, requiring crossing between ships under repair—so caution is advised if wearing heels. Parking concerns may also arise, and there are other restaurants on the river that some might find more worth visiting. Nonetheless, the views remain excellent, and the setting offers a good environment for a visit or a drink.
