Very very highly recommended. The sandwich is a real discovery... it gives a thousand twists and turns to the French style. Great place to discover without a doubt.

We loved it, fantastic quality price, highly recommended, short menu, so it is better to choose.

We had a regular roast piglet sandwich each. It was soooo delicious! The sauce that came with the sandwich was one of a kind too! It was so good that we both ordered another to take away. It is definitely a hidden GEM in Porto!! Must try!!
The staff were very nice too! It is cash only

This is my second time here, but I would come back again!
However, we must go to our native Ukraine??

Located upstairs at the Mercado do Bolhāo, a nice little restaurant where you can eat roast suckling pig as a main course or as a sandwich. Really delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend

The pizza is divine at an affordable price and very well filled, a new addition not to be missed...

Wheelchair accessibility: There are several elevators spread across the market.

Nuno and Linda serve you a magnificent and authentic suckling pig (leitao) from the Bairrada region. You have to indulge in the Portuguese way of serving it with chips and a salad but the flavors will not be altered. The suckling pig returns to your mouth after its delicate cooking in clay ovens and over a wood fire. A 100% Portuguese delight.

My family and I (group of 6) came in for lunch around 1:30 on a Wednesday. No one acknowledged us (or the lady in front of us in line) for the whole 15 minutes we were standing at the entrance until that lady gave up and left, and my sister went inside to ask for a table. They seemed pretty busy inside, especially because there is limited seating, and it seemed as though there were only two people working – but it doesn’t take much to just tell us they’ll be right with us. We only stayed because the options for restaurants within the market were slim pickins’, and it was getting late so we didn’t want to waste more time looking for another spot outside. We ordered some leitao (suckling pig) and some salad/bread to share. I must admit that the leitao was pretty good. It’s roasted until the fat is melted off and the meat is super tender. It’s served with some orange slices on the side, presumably to cut some of the fat from eating the pig.I’m sure this place is geared for tourists since it’s located inside the market but it was still pretty good. Prices were reasonable, at least compared to a roast pig dish in NYC. Service was actually not bad once we sat down but they do need to work on greeting customers.

The boss is very friendly! Unfortunately there is not as much choice as what is noted on the front: between the sandwich and the suckling pig, we tried the roast suckling pig! It’s very good but: 6 small pieces for 2, served with chips… a little disappointed ?

Whilst visiting this refurbished historic market, today in the heart of Porto, we chanced by this small eatery on the top floor and had the best suckling pork ever. Excellent service and after paying for our food, the owner explained about his cooking process and then said ‘enjoy Portugal’. We do, and thank you. This is a fabulous city with a big heart

Went there this evening after reading some of the reviews. Personally, I wish I hadn't bothered. I was the only person there, wasn't greeted very well, no music, no atmosphere at all.Ordered suckling pig, thought it would come with fries, came with crisps. On a positive note, the suckling pig tasted good and the sauce that came with it was delicious. I asked the waitress to recommend a wine , unfortunately the one she suggested didn't match the pork. Will not return.

The food is very good, the quantity is enough to eat the recommended suckling pig dishes.

Good place to eat. The only detail is that you cannot pay by card. Still worth
