Great meal and awesome service. Both the veal and the cod were perfect. Excellent wine by the glass selection. Service by Sofia and Bruno was friendly and efficient. After drinking at the bar, I had the best Moscow mule drinks ever, perfectly crafted by Romain.

So the food was actually good. I’d say 4/5. So why the 1 star? Well the nice server offered a piece of bread along with my meal, ok that’s fine. They charge €4.40. I didn’t agree to pay that much for a piece of bread. When paying the bill, they said well the price on the menu. But I never actually ordered it. I think it’s a scam. It isn’t a lot of money, but I don’t like dishonest business. Beware of this scammer.

We just arrived at the hotel and wanted to explore a bit and then grab some dinner…what a pleasant surprise the hotel restaurant was! We had the most flavour full carbonara pasta along with a salt cod dinner with black olive tapenade and vegetables….ridiculously good along with a tasty Portugal Douro red wine…just perfect with impeccable customer service.

I usually do not eat in hotel restaurants. However, we enjoyed a surprisingly good meal here, far exceeding our expectations. I had a chicken with mushroom sauce and my husband had the burger. Both were incredibly good…to the point we were saying it was one of the best meals of the trip.
Had dinner here during our stay at Porto Batalha. Our fish meals were excellent, very fresh and well prepared. Service was exceptional. Kudos to Chef Monica and our server Bruno for a memorable dinner.
