Top snacks and super dedicated service! A true experience in deep and authentic Porto! Congratulations Maria!

Kind of a mixed bag. It definitely has an old school and authentic feel, with a small interior, cramped tables, random guys hanging out at the side of the restaurant, and quaint decor. But a word of caution on the food: As numerous other reviewers have noted, avoid the bacalhau unless you *really* like salt. It was pretty much inedible (in fact all of the food was fairly salty).
The seafood stew wasn't bad, though also quite salty. And to be fair, the Francesinha was great - no complaints on that at all.
Service is on the slower side, though not ridiculously bad. Just don't go here if you're in a hurry. It's definitely not a "customer is king" kind of place, though! Service is a bit on the gruff side, as others have noted.

We go there because we want to eat local.
It's not trendy or politically correct. Lá francesinha y est bonne. The owner is nice, the waitress is a bit gruff but I enjoyed this moment with my son which seemed to me to be over....

Amazing Franchesinha and Omelette! An absolute gem in Porto and a must visit. The lady doesn’t speak English only Portuguese but is very welcoming and try your best to speak using a translating app. Definitely recommend!

I read a review on Google and they gave it an excellent score, that's why I went. The attention of the owner was terrible, she didn't answer the questions, there is no menu, the final price was a surprise, the truth is. I felt a little uncomfortable and not at ease. The food more or less, nothing out of the ordinary or delicious. I would not go back

Highly recommended if you want to get away from the touristy stuff, everything is homemade and very good, the francesinha is very tasty, a lot of quantity and I think that at 10 euros it is very well priced, the owner is super friendly, the only fault that can be given is that The place is very small, otherwise everything is fine.

Just find out this lovely place and even the owner(two ladies) don’t know how to talk in English their hospitality is outstanding. I had a very gud house wine and good meal which is phenomenal for sure. CASH ONLY I didn’t know but some local folks helped me out which get me more friendly vibes in the foreign city. Obrigado!

After wandering dejected from booked restaurant to booked restaurant at 8:30 PM, we were delighted that the wonderful women here could fit the three of us in at their only outdoor table. They even went so far as to track down a stool for an extra chair! They were very patient with, even encouraging of, our attempts to speak only Portuguese with the help of Google Translate and Spanish (the people there speak only Portuguese). The grilled seabass was incredible, the sardines were melt in your mouth, and the octopus was seasoned to perfection. We also had the best cake thing ever for dessert and lovely company from the staff there, who hung out with us a bit as we were the last customers before they closed. Amazing, brilliant, show stopping, incredible.
