“Everything was so good that I forgot to take photos of what we ordered. It was a gazpacho soup that was very tasty, asparagus crumbs with egg and sausage (the sausage came separately, which is great for those who don't eat meat like me), and some equally wonderful strips of pota, all accompanied by white wine. . Dessert was sericaia (different from the traditional one and I don't know which one I'm a bigger fan of).
We stayed on the outdoor terrace, one of those typical Alentejo nights (windless, hot and with a starry sky).
Equally good service and service.“

“Excellent service, with very friendly and communicative staff. The food is traditional and freshly prepared. We ordered the Alentejo pork and the migas with fried meat and everything was divine! We highly recommend it. We've been there twice and will definitely be back many more times.“
“Very welcoming staff, the starters are excellent, the main dishes are excellent, the lobster rice is extraordinary, and the lamb chops are recommended, the desserts are delicious, the lemon cake with ice cream is a good taste experience, at night the freshness and silence, with an orange liqueur, and your feet on the grass are a unique relaxing experience at sunset
Parking: Quite spacious“

“This restaurant definitely belongs to a restricted group, where only a few can fit! Indeed, this space is something fantastic and the menu leaves our mouths watering, at least for those who know Alentejo cuisine! However, it is when we are served and later confronted with the delicacies on the plate in front of us that we really become aware of the superior quality of this Restaurant!!! Without a shadow of a doubt, not to be missed!!!Dogfish SoupTenderloinsGazpacho“

“Foral MDXII in Monsaraz offers a dining experience that's hard to beat, especially with its breathtaking view of the old town on the hill. We started with olives and local cheese, both of which were amazing. For the main course, the Iberico pork cheek with wine sauce and potato crisps was super juicy and tender. The chunk of veal with crisps and coleslaw was equally impressive. The local red wines, both the light and strong varieties, were delicious and paired perfectly with our meal. We ended with a warm, amazing brownie that we shared. The staff were great and mostly very proficient in English, adding to the enjoyable experience (€60). Highly recommend Foral MDXII for a memorable meal in Monsaraz!“

“Went there on our way for late lunch. Service was efficient and friendly even though our portugueese is vert limited. My red mullet was perfectly grilled and my partner’s baby goat / cabrito was the best red meat other than the pork dishes he had in the country during our extensive travels. Not many vegetarian options very meat centric. Nice outdoor seating in the shade and large car park. We were pleasantly surprised.“

“(Translated by Google) The food was very good, we had black pork secrets with homemade fries, chicken and turkey bitoque, but grilled not fried. We drank a very good and fresh white from Reguengos. What was not so good, was the lack of friendliness of the employee. He wasn't rude or overbearing, but a smile would have left a better impression.(Original)A comida estava muito boa, comemos secretos de porco preto com batata frita caseira, bitoque de frango e perú, mas grelhados não fritos. Bebemos um branco muito bom e fresco de Reguengos.O que não foi assim tão bom, foi a falta de simpatia do empregado. Não foi rude, nem arrogante, mas um sorriso tinha deixado uma impressão melhor.“

“What I call homemade food. Without a doubt, all the ingredients come from there, from that land next to the Alqueva water. The flavor of Alentejo is present in everything. Another thing that is present is friendliness and simplicity.A big thank you and I will be back!“

“A tiny place, with a gentle giant behind the bar. Whizzing up a fresh batch as we walk in the door. “It’s the best” he says confidently. And it was excellent. Also the custardy/cinnamony flan with sugar syrup plums was to die for. I love these little places. Real personality. 5-stars in my book.“
