Authentic, very good food, very warm welcome.
We loved the place so much for its authenticity that we returned there the day before our departure, with the same pleasure.
This is easily a must-visit restaurant. The food is fantastic. The bread is delicious and fresh. The skewers is perfectly medium cooked, full of juice, well seasoned with the smell of grilling charcoals. The sea bass is so fresh that you can smell the sea when it’s on the table. And this is no figurative speaking.
The atmosphere is wonderful, local and home feeling. The staff is super friendly. He joked around, offered liquors and gave up many tips for our trips. Really made...read full review

Boa Vista restaurant offers a warm welcome and a lovely dining experience with very good food and a good atmosphere. The owners are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service and engaging guests in conversations. The Fish of the Day and Dourada fish are fresh and flavorful. The house red wine and local liqueur Poncha are also highlights, with the Poncha specially prepared in front of guests. The rooftop terrace provides a great view of Funchal city. The food is fantastic, with delicious and fresh bread, and perfectly cooked skewers. The sea bass is so fresh. The atmosphere is wonderful, local and home feeling. The staff is super friendly, offering liquors and giving tips. The shrimp, garlic bread, and pastel de nata were outstanding. The menu is small with targeted fish and meat dishes, freshly prepared. Boa Vista is highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.
