“Well, I went to this seafood restaurant in Coimbra to eat roast lamb with a recently arrived Brazilian. He even went cross-eyed ?.
Food**** From the seafood rice to the lamb, nothing to complain about. Some starters/seafood starters, could be better
Service**** Senior and professional, some exaggerated times
Atmosphere*** Pure seafood atmosphere, in a dissonant environment with little value. Difficult parking.
Value** Pays well, eats well, the bill could be lighter.“

“A very good restaurant where you will find traditional dishes, I recommend the eels which are very good and which go very well with a draft beer and cockle rice.Ideal place for a meal with friends as it can sometimes be a little noisy.
Kid-friendliness: Baby chairs available, understanding staff.“

“??: What a wonderful discovery this is.
I went in search of some Coimbra-style migas and ended up enjoying the Açorda that accompanied the fried petinga.
One of the best açordas I've eaten in my life.
All the food was extremely fresh and delicious, even the mixed salad.
I recommend it 100% and will definitely be back.
Not to mention the waiters, the girl who served us first and the man who finished our service. Both of them extremely friendly.
??: What an amazing finding this one
I was looking for a place that served “Migas à moda de Coimbra”, which is a dish made with bread, black eyed peas and cabbage.
I end up delighting on the “Açorda” that was a side dish of the fried “petinga”(small sardine like whitebait)
It was one of the best “Açorda” I’ve eaten in my life.
All food we ordered was fresh and delicious.
I recommend this place 100% and no doubt I’ll be back
Also to mentioned the staff that was so friendly and so nice to us. Always with a smile on their faces“

“Good food with good diversity (no exaggeration, perfect number of dishes) that captures the essence well. Impeccable service, I made a reservation last time and it was the only restaurant in the area that was quick to serve us. I recommend and come back“

“It was a very pleasant dinner, in which I highlight the following points:
- the kindness of the employees, particularly Mrs. Sandra, who was always attentive.
- the quality of the fresh fish served (Bocanegra) as well as the side dishes that were very well prepared and tasty.
- the space is pleasant and peaceful.
Without a doubt, I hope to do it again!“

“Food**** Various options of traditional Portuguese cuisine, well prepared overall. I don't even like cod face rice, but I enjoyed it.
Service**** Veteran, few faults, delivery time could be faster.
Ambience*** Well decorated and clean but difficult parking area and poor views.
Value***Not being cheap (20e/pax) it is adjusted to quality.“

“I took my family for a special lunch, and excellence is the right word.
The service was quick, friendly and efficient, with the owner coming to the table to make recommendations.
We ate a piece of broken eggs which was delicious!
Place with good spacing between tables, sanitized, very pleasant. Even with the air conditioning, they were careful not to freeze.
With a fair price for the offer, I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates quality.“

“I went to this restaurant on a recommendation, and I have to say it was a very pleasant surprise. The first restaurant which was 5 stars in all parameters (food, service and atmosphere). The food is very tasty and well prepared, perfect. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful, very pleasant to eat.
I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone to go there once, it's really phenomenal.“

“Promoting a meatless diet is good for the climate and is healthier. The vegetarian/vegan variant of the francesinha should be cheaper than the meat variant and not more expensive. Much more people would go for the vegetarian option if it was 2€ cheaper than the meat variant. And if the argument is that the ingredients of the vegetarian variant is more expensive (which I doubt) then price it in into the meat variant. Other than that everything was good!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Francesinha“

“Great pizzas and pastas! Everything very well prepared and fresh. Good doses. Good atmosphere and friendly staff (some more than others). But, without a doubt, a good choice if you feel like Italian food and are in Armação de Pera or nearby.“

“Way above my expectations! Great all-you-can-eat buffet service with excellent value for money. Very large space, several tables of different sizes. Very good service. When a buffet item runs out, you can ask for a replacement, which is then done and the waiter notifies you. It's impossible to come here and not leave satisfied.“
“Highly recommended, yes. Not expensive, simple solid cuisine, smooth and friendly service, low prices. You risk having to wait, it is best to come early (before 12:00) or late (after 14:00). Crowded because of the proximity of the cancer hospital, e.g. the bombeiros of the patient transport come here frequently; as well as doctors and nurses.“
“Amazing large choice of local seafood and fish, really well presented and perfectly cooked. Paulo the waiter spoke perfect English and was really helpful and friendly, making some excellent recommendations on both food and wine. The desert (another recommendation) was also wonderful. Would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I’ve come to the conclusion that the restaurants in the popular Matoshinos streets (R. Herois da Franca & Av Serpa Pinto) know how to cook the traditional Portuguese dishes but fall over when it comes to the bulk of staple fish dishes. I feel like they’re offering all these other fish dishes because it attracts the tourist trade. But I’m afraid you’ll find better cooked. tasting and more inventive seafood cuisine elsewhere and for a better price in Matoshinos & Porto. There are exceptions… We’ve had sardines every which way in the past but O’Filipe’s lightly tempura’d sardines were probably the best starter dish you could chose. Sublime. The green lipped mussels in a finely chopped parsley, onion & lemon vinaigrette were excellent. I’m sure the salted cod and rice dishes would be excellent choices too. Then it comes to the more staple dishes… The garlic prawns, cooked well enough in a light pimentao sauce but a tad dry. They don’t have the tenderness they should. Why I don’t know. The hake fillets with the Russian salad. Very nice salad but again the hake is a tad dry. I’ve had much better elsewhere. Desserts are simple but good. I really liked the interior restaurant atmosphere. Lot of Portuguese. Service was good. We’ll be back for the sardines, bachalau & rice dishes.“
