I have been using this space for over 40 years. I emphasize the recent modernization and the presentation of products always with quality, without offense and without belittling all sellers and if I may, I name D. Alzira as an excellent kitchen, also Mr. Jorge with a superior counter and D. Flor with its quality charcuterie
The architecture highlights the popular retail space with an exquisite panel of fixtures at the south entrance. Inside, the freshness of the food mixes with the aromas of fruit creating a welcoming atmosphere.
I visited several times this market and was pleasantly surprised at the abundance of food it offers-fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy products, bread and pastry, all at reasonable prices. The only disadvantage is that the working hours are from 5 am to 2 pm. So if you’re on the move all day, you should visit it early in the morning.But upstairs in the same building there are several restaurants, working late, where you can have a tasty Portuguese meal.
