I thought it was going to be worse, to be honest, but I didn't find this cafeteria to be excessively expensive; They also had a variety of drinks and fast foods. You can pay by card. We went early and we barely had to wait in line, but things sure got complicated later. They have a large terrace with several outdoor tables from where you can enjoy incredible views of the area, this is definitely worth it. They have a bathroom, but you have to go down three floors.
Because it's a small door and everything is cramped, full of people, the food is ok, there are some chocolate salamis, some snacks, coffee and Sintra queijada, good, I found it interesting, it gave a tasty filling to the belly. It's just chaotic because there are a lot of people and not many options for eating, in addition to being the only place there in the middle of those hills of the Sintra palace.The prices are ok, but it's really a bit desperate because there...
Honestly don't know why the cafe is getting this much hate. The prices were steeper than Lisbon, but not by THAT much. We had the queijadas (1e each) and the coffee which was good. I didn't feel it was a rip-off. Obviously always better to bring your own snacks and food on a day out, but this was satisfactory.The only thing that bugged me is the layout - the queue is IN FRONT of the elevators ????
