“Truly the best sushi in West Island. The cooks are very knowledgeable and we interact with them on every visit. It’s mostly a take out restaurant and it shows because of its very small dinning room space. It almost feels like we have to eat quickly and leave asap because of the limited seating. I would recommend upgrading their tables and chairs and probably building a wall to separate entrance from dinning area. Still, the best restaurants are sometimes holes in a wall.“

“A few of us went Sunday at around 2 pm and had a lunch special! Everything was delicious and finished meal with fried Choco banana! Amazing friendly staff and such a cozy ambiance. Affordable menu and a la carte too! Definitely will go back!“

“I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service we received owner Mr. Ming personally greets and attends to all customer needs. I can honestly say Sushi Hin is my favorite sushi place in the West Island. I have been there twice and the quality and service is very consistent. On my last visit i was there for lunch in a group of four and we were offered items that are only available for the night service. I thought that was a nice gesture and we really appreciated how far they went to win our loyalty to the restaurant. i highly recommend you give them a try.“

“Oka Sushi is hands down the best sushi spot in the West Island! The service is always warm and welcoming, and the sushi is absolutely incredible. The chef prepared everything perfectly based on my taste preferences — every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.

“Fantastic Sushi! This is only the 2nd Sushi restaurant that I have been to that was not ayce... and honestly it was one of the best!
The menu had a good selection, the food was very fresh and the atmosphere was pleasant.
I don't know if it is a regular feature, however we were able to bring our own bottle of wine... something I have always liked in Montreal, as it is quite uncommon in Ontario!“

“This place was Amazing. The sushi was great. We got the California one (I think it was called that), one with salmon, and one with shrimp in it. We had 7 each, and it was delicious. The service was a little slow, especially since we were the only people in the restaurant. But we got a lot of food so it is understandable. And let me say, it is just beautiful in there. The design is stunning. I will go here again for sure.“

“They offer japanese and romanian meals. The food was average. The stuff was nice and accommodating.
We went there on an evening when they had a party going on. There was live music and a DJ, romanian and international music. It was a little bit too loud to have a conversation. The atmosphere was great and there was plenty of room to dance.
They don't always have parties, you can ask before going especially on the weekends.
We would go back for another party.“

“I went at night and found the restaurant a little full, the atmosphere is cozy and I didn't make a reservation to eat there. The food is very good, the quantity is just right and they give a generous amount of protein (meat). The truth is that the only drawback is that we waited a long time between the appetizers and the main course. Another fact is that there is very little space between tables, we had to accommodate ourselves to get in and out, even the waiters struggle to serve the food on the table. If I'm passing through I would go again.“

“We regularly pick up the chef's choice platter from the Sushi Shop Kirkland, which has a few of the basic and not so wow additions, but I must say the Mother's Day platter (May 11'25) was so delicious that we called them back to let them know how amazing it was. “I often come to this Sushi Shop, and it feels like the owner has changed.

The store is cleaner and tidier. There used to be a trash can outside with a lot of debris, but now it has been emptied and there are plants and flowers at the door.

I used to only order takeout, but now I am willing to dine in because the atmosphere feels good.

Although the new owner is a little slow in serving food, she was very sincere and enthusiastic, and the food portions are also large.“

“Funny thing, I typically order sushi elsewhere but they were closed on Mondays so I took a chance and boy was I ever delighted. I called and the staff was nice. Told them I wanted to order a 40 piece. He asked what time I'd like to get it. I showed up at the agreed time. Everything was super fresh, neatly packaged and tasted fantastic. I actually think this might become my go-to. What's even more interesting is the staff at the IGA counter didn't even know that this was the thing. I'm super happy and I will definitely be going back!“

“Freshly prepare sushi - it was just what I was looking for. They paper menu is clearly marked which items can be prepared gluten free. If you do get sushi just a warning the they do not have GF soy sauce. I had the Vancouver Roll and the Creole Tuna Roll. Both tasted great and I did not get sick.“
